The Athletic issued an article today about their B12 predictions. Utah is predicted to win the B12 with an overall record of 11-1 and conference record of 8-1. UH was dead last with an overall record of 3-9 and a conference record of 1-8.
Notwithstanding Sam Khan, I don’t think The Athletic is high on UH football this year.
My gut says 2-10 with wins over UNLV and Rice.
Maybe get to 3-9 with an upset conference win.
I’m willing to deal with that due to a transition year with a new coach. After last year’s transition year to the Big 12, UH will have to get awfully creative for me to grant them a third one in 2025.
Last year they were coached by Dana Holgerson.

If Smith can correct his mistakes, I think he can truly be a QB to cause some chaos in the Big 12.
The problem is his mistakes have been happening since he was a Freshman. Accuracy, interceptions and passing inconsistency. He showed some good progress last year, but if he wants a shot at the NFL, he’s really gonna have to step it up this year against a top 5 CFB schedule
I don’t understand not thinking Fritz’s can upset at least a couple of big 12 schools. If Dana did why can’t Fritz’s? Don’t you think this staff is better than the last one?

Shocked by all the Fritz hate by our fan base.
We had a coach last year that barely coached…barely recruited…poorly prepared his squad and we STILL won 4 games in a Power Conference…err Lucked into 4 wins.
THIS Job is not a slow rebuild type of job…you must act like every single game is a must- win playoff game…and that means from the second you are hired.
There is no tomorrow in the post NIL…post transfer NIL world.
