Remember how we all said we need a marquee team in the top 10 or 2?
Well Texas tech and Byu are those teams for us for now. They are every bit as good as having clemson and Florida st as of now but better. Byu and Texas tech basically replaced UT and OU as far as being ranked high . The big 12 is strong. We have 1 in the top 10 and Byu just outside of it. We’re stronger than the ACC .
Now as far as future playoff expansion, I’m still for a 4/4/2/2 split if we go to 16 teams bc we see the sec big 10 bias so our commish should reconsider if we go to 16 in playoffs. That way we get 2 for sure and possibly 1 more each yr.
Main point is the big 12 is strong and we now have that top 10 team that could beat UT and A&M.
Tech and Byu should be in the playoffs
If Byu beats tech , we could have 2 this yr.

So you want the bias to be codified? Insane take. People are calling the committee out for the byu mess. I’d argue Utah should be on the bubble and byu should be in no matter what. There should be 3 big12 teams in the playoff.
I actually just got off a Zoom call with Coach Fritz about 30 minutes ago and told him that he should get Keisean Henderson to rescind his signing and go to BYU or Texas Tech instead, for the benefit of the conference
I also spoke to President Khator about whether or not it would be wise to shut down the UH football program, just so it’s one less game that BYU or Texas Tech will have to worry about
BYU may have most of the country’s support to win against Texas Tech. Not that the rest of the country wants to see BYU in the CFP; the rest of the country wants to see Notre Dame knocked out of the CFP.
Utes arguably sould be in the PO, playing as well as any team in the country. TT, BYU, Utes. Of course not going to happen BYU loses their out, not happening. Committee not putting them in. Jmo
