Jon Wilner has been covering college sports for decades and is an AP top-25 football and basketball voter as well as a Heisman Trophy voter. He was named Beat Writer of the Year in 2013 by the Football Writers Association of America for his coverage of the Pac-12, won first place for feature writing in 2016 in the Associated Press Sports Editors writing contest and is a five-time APSE honoree.
Never forget, he is the guy who said that UH was the best add for the Pac-12. He’ll always have a spot in my heart for that.

I respect Wilner tremendously, if the PAC ends up.as former shell of itself he’ll still write articles. He is a ACE reporter no doubt. Personally I think it’s sad to see what is becoming of CFB. No one can trust anyone anymore, all got there knives sharpened,. These are the leaders of our institutions of great learning, and there acting like a band of pirates on one another. What are we teaching tomorrows generation? My pontification observation for today

Social media is what happened to CFB. Tens of millions of other people’s money is just a data point to argue on twitter. No one on twitter sees a dime of it, mind you, but they think they do. If your school gets another 10 million its like a shot of methadone.
