Big 12 / SEC / B10 Expansion Thread (Part 2)

4 corners:
Where is the New Mexico school?

ā€œThe university would arrive at a reduced rate.ā€

Mont Show blasting SDSU AD.
Why go after Dodd in this way ?

Lmao, bringing in SMU as an expansion candidate is the death knell for one’s conference.

In New Mexico they root for teams out of state.

So I’m guessing that ACC strategy in preventing the conference from imploding is to add teams and get the other teams to re-up their of commitment to the conference?

If they add UT UCLA USC teams then maybe, but we’re talking about smu and cal. Money is going to start flowing in with these two.

The ACC is not as inept as the PAC, but does not seem very far ahead with forward thinking

Acc going to fall apart so it’s big East again

I wonder if SMU leaked that rumor to the athletic. It’s unfathomable for the ACC to even consider Cal, Stanford, and SMU.

Maybe coogboog was really an smu supporter :joy:

Adding smu , stanford etc isn’t stopping Fla st clemson etc from leaving

According to this OSU Beaver fan…the PAC4 is also looking at joining the American. Most likely if ACC does not take Stanford & Cal…

15 million each… better make sure that is Aresco and not GK in disguise.

The American is a great conference to reinvent yourself. Its like a detox center for fledgling programs. Win a few titles, get ranked a couple of times, then you’re the hot ticket. There are worse places to end up.

There are good programs in the MWC but no one watches that time zone on TV.

Unless things changed after UH, Cincinnati, and UCF left, I believe The American has a better TV deal than the MWC.

Better visibility on ESPN family of networks and yes more $. AAC is about $7M and MWC is about $4M from what I’ve seen. I’m betting OSU and WSU will end up in AAC due to more $ and getting ESPN some WC content. What to do with Cal and Stanford though?
