Does anyone remember 2K’s over by Sakowitz across from the Galleria? It was an ice cream parlor and had great ice cream dishes. They had a banana split called “The Casey Jones” that was made in the shape of an old locomotive that was to die for.

I do. My girl friend, later my wife, introduced me to it early in our dating era.
Delicious!

You don’t cook your own steaks? I like to cook my own steaks since I get them the way I want them.
We have a Coogfans poster whose family has been the long-time owners of Larrys - as of 15 years ago at least.
Grew up eating Larry’s or Lopez. Can’t go wrong with either.

The two “smokehouse’s” prep deer, make sausage and sell “raw” beef . . . . . They sell them and I cook them. Other two are for when I’d rather let someone else clean up . . . . .
When I was a young married before kids Larry’s had a second location on Chimney Rock just north of South Main. My Wife and I would eat there often.
