Big12 Basketball 2025-26

Yeah from what relatively little I’ve watched of them, ive been somewhat impressed by them recently.

The bar is low, but maybe it’s fair to say they are headed in the right direction?

We certainly cant say the same for KSU or ASU tho. 100% on the same page w/ you there!

easy to say arizona state is improving when they don’t have to play 3 top 10 level teams all on the road in 2 weeks

k-state on the other hand probably won’t even have that random week where everyone thinks they’re back considering they got B2A’d by a kansas team who is not only notorious for struggling on the road but also didn’t have peterson lol

Remember the flyby refusing to shake Self’s hand? Getting on the table after squeaking one out?? He definitely talked to his guys about putting JT in his place

I haven’t seen Bill this happy in…maybe ever.

Billy Self was thrilled to be Outta The Hospital, and Into That A**

Every time I see Baylor I think…

“Hmmmmm. They would look a lot better if they had a great point guard. Like a lot better.”

A big key for Diane his freshman season will be having a healthy summer. He will make a huge jump from June-Nov if healthy.

He’s A Big Big Boy!

Diane will come in and lose 40+ lbs in the 5 months of offseason and preseason trainings and I hear he is probably more than the listed weight.

I would venture to guess that’s correct.

Which if u listen to this clip about Purdue at about the 6 min mark, it’s relevant. I think it’s SUPER interesting ya’ll are his destination. I’d guess the pitch was ‘hey, we’re not gonna blow smoke up your *** like everyone else. WE’RE the ones that are actually gonna challenge you to lose 40-60 lbs and then teach you to move and hedge like you’re a different human being.’

I’ll never question or doubt CKS… why would I?…TJ Otzelberger literally calls CKS and Houston “The Gold Standard” that we’re aspiring to.

So I do think Diane is making the right choice to come to UH. But we can’t dismiss the fact that the kid is going to be challenged like never before. He will be worked to a knub, and I’m excited to see what ya’ll can mold him into. All the credit in the world for the young man embracing that, it’s rare to see today!

I can’t imagine CKS wants to stop hard-hedging and trapping ball screens, because Diane does have drop coverage written all over him IMHO. Usually Purdue, Creighton…maybe a Michigan or BYU would be my recommend if i was advising him. (It is notable that one local developmental program you are all familiar with… didn’t even really express interest at all for this reason. He’s not seen as a good fit scheme-wise.)

But his ceiling is higher if you can mold him and change him, which I respect on both sides it seems that’s what we’re doing here.
