Anybody ever heard of Tim Duncan…?
Ewing? LMAO
Maybe honorable mention
The AAC was good to us… but I LOVE THE BIG 12!!!
Walton might be THE greatest of them all
I just had an epiphany; no Jerry West?!
The guys in the AAC teams were told they could not win in the B12 They delivered back2back conference titles. New gen gottheir work cut out. Go Coogs!
By the by,since 1936, the following current Big 12 teams have won a National Title:
Arizona
Utah
Baylor
Oklahoma St
Kansas
Cincinnati
These schools played in at least one National Title Game without winning a Natty:
Tx Tech
Houston
K State
WVU
Our Conference is strong in Basketball.
It annoys me that Baylor has a NCAA Championship and UH has none. UH could run circles around Baylor for basketball tradition.
His pro teammate, the Admiral, was a more dominant college presence.
The most egregious omission is Chamberlain. He put up insane numbers despite being triple teamed.
I was thinking about the Admiral, too…
But Duncan was 2 time consensus AA, 2 time ACC POY, 3 time NABC DPOY & 1997 national POY while leading the country in rebounds thst season…
Should be on that list.
And that was in the ACC heyday
BYU schedule next year so far
Neutral in Utah: Ohio state
Neutral in Wisconsin: Wisconsin
BYU with a complete rebuild.
Losing Dybantsa, Keita, Saunders, Boskovic + (6) players to the portal
Returners: Dawson Baker, Khadim Mboup, Abdullah Ahmed, Aleksej Kostic, Brody Kozlowski, Nate Pickens
Yeah, it will definitely be a close to new roster next year.
What a challenge to build a new team every year. I read that every player on the TN women’s team is transferring. The coach is starting off with zero players.
That’s a couple of very respectable OOC matchups
It hurts my passion for college basketball, honestly. I had loved watching players grow over their four or five years at a school. They show up as a freshman who maybe gets a couple minutes, and leave as leaders on and off the court. They come as boys and often leave as men who cared about the name on the front of the jersey as much as the name on the back.
Doesn’t feel that way now.
I wonder if we ever get to the point where teams are offering multi year NIL deals to try and reduce roster churn
Balloon payments lol
