Apparently he was an amazing basketball player. His hs coach said if he was so short, 5’ 2" he had a chance to go pro. Had all the skills, but the height of a female gymnast.

Caveat: I saw highlights only. He is going to look good.
- Obviously his size will be an issue with any team. He listed weight is 247 lbs. He has some weight, but the question remains will be be able to maintain position with more physical players.
- Last year he averaged 10.9 pts/gm, 8.4 rebs/gm, and 72.6% FTs.
- Right off the bat, you can tell his baby hook is almost unstoppable from 6-7 ft.
Intriguing pickup for BYU. I look forward to seeing Xin when BYU plays in Houston this season.

He will not be able to play a lot of min and is going to struggle in transition.
Any jump hook is unstoppable if executed properly and one doesn’t need to be 7’5.

His wingspan in only 1” longer than Jojo’s. Some sites actually have them listed as the same. He might turn out to be a decent pick up for BYU but personally I’m happy to have a more mobile guy with a similar wingspan at 6’8” that can move his feet to cover a lot of ground, play in transition, block shots, and defend multiple positions.

@NorCalCoog TJ really likes to play thru his bigs at the top of the key in that double drag/dribble handoff/short roll inverted look. That’s always been his bread and butter and it stood out day one. Ppl always complaining why our bigs have the ball up there lol.
