That dwarfs some of our old Hofheinz crowds. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I actually counted everyone during one game. I don’t remember the exact number, but it was close to 100. Oof.

So how did UH get a one seed?

By going 22-1 in a power conference.

Do we honestly not see the difference between “bragging rights” and credentials? Seeding isn’t based off what ESPN commentators are spewing on air. That’s bragging rights. Credentials are based on what happens on the floor. But I see the goal post has moved, so now you’re just agreeing with me with different words. Let’s beat Oakland tonight so we can have bragging rights!!!

Even though the SEC had bragging rights?! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Lmao what are you even on about? You do realize the SEC had two 1 seeds and 2 seeds on top of getting 14/16 teams. They dominated the country, claimed bragging rights over everyone, and then got tremendous seeding as a result.

Literally all anyone was saying was that winning these non-conference games matters. I think you just got hung up on the phrase “bragging rights”. Use whatever term you want bud. I don’t think we’re really in disagreement at all.

They didn’t get their seeding because of “bragging rights,” lmao. They got their seeding because they won games. Bragging rights is not a real thing. You think the staff is going around hoping for bragging rights? UH was a one seed in the American conference. Was that because the American had bragging rights?! The original poster was saying they want the big 12 teams to win, so that the conference can have “bragging rights.” I simply said bragging rights don’t matter. I stand by that. Means nothing for UH.

And I agree with you haha I am hung up on that term, admittedly. I’m a literal person, sometimes to a fault.

Yes, and you’re agreeing with us with different words.

Naw I said it first Rob lol.
Resumé >>> Bragging Rights

They didn’t get their seeding because of bragging rights. They got their seeding by winning, which is the same way they got their bragging rights. Winning is the key, everything else is derivative. If you’re capable of going 22-1 in league then it probably doesn’t matter much how the rest of the league does but the better our conference mates do the more margin for error we have. Tennessee lost a third of their SEC games and still got a 2 seed. That’s pretty nice.

I wanted to “say it first,” just didn’t think it was important as you seem to. The perceived, or in your case, the unperceived, existence of bragging rights could mean the difference in 2-3 extra invites to the big dance, per conference. That’s why we (Big 12) need all of the wins we can get against other P4 teams.

Resumé = bragging rights.

Have a great day, I’m getting ready to head to H-town for the game. You gonna be there?

p.s. Lesser SEC teams got in the dance, over more deserving teams. So the Big 12 needs to work harder, so we can brag

Agreed 100%. Seeding and “bragging rights” are a byproduct of winning. Semantics I guess. I just see bragging rights as like a fan thing vs something substantial

Yessir, I’ll be there. Hoping for a game with no early exits due to foul trouble. I want to see what the team looks like with the rotation CKS intends to have
