I used that term to encompass everything that comes with having “scoreboard” in almost every single non-conference game between the SEC and B12 last year, and that includes the RPI bump and seeding that goes with it. To the victor go the spoils, and the SEC definitely stole bids by virtue of their early-season wins against B12 teams.
In corporate-speak, bragging rights are a lagging indicator of wins and a leading indicator of tournament selection and seeding. They don’t mean anything in a vacuum, but they never exist in a vacuum.
This was not the most useless debate ever, but it’s in the discussion.
The main reason ISU’s tailgating setup is so good is because Hilton and JTS were built in a flood plain that was initially avoided for that reason for 100+ years.
So every decade and a half or so…Hilton becomes an indoor boating venue!
