We will see if everything runs through Lubbock. I am team Yormark
We get more than our share of Friday night home games. It’s about damn time that Texas Tech has to deal with it.
Yeah but we are still stuck playing in another Friday night game:(
I like Friday night games. Put the kids to sleep go out on the deck or to the basement and enjoy myself and my coogs baby

How does the conference run through these guys?
They had one good season in the last century and now they think they’re Notre Dame.
True, I don’t like it either. Makes it tough on us fans traveling for Friday games. I just meant that we get more than our share of weeknight home games that kill attendance. If we have to play on a weeknight, I am glad it is on the road. I still expect we will have to play at least one home game on a week night though.
Campbell is such a phony.
Complains about the current state of college athletics/money, while at the same time driving up the market and over-paying for players.

Friday night AWAY games are okay…
Maybe if Tech wants the world to treat them like they’re too big time to play on Friday their offense could show up for a playoff game.

Based on recent behavior they are more likely to change colors to burnt orange than return to the bevel.
For as long as i can remember, Tech has had a black helmet with a red TT on the side. and my memory goes back 65 years…cant imagine why they would change to that helmet above…if that is this year’s Tech helmet, i can only shake my head…
Tampon red. Straight from Cody Campbells bleeding ******
Probably driven by sales/marketing…
Spring practice… not for Mr. McNasty! Already in mid-season form!
They’ve had white, black, red and gray helmets over the years.
I actually think this version of their red helmet looks much better than the prior one, but in general I’m with you. Might just be my age, but the beveled double-T is Texas Tech to me. The flat one is a cool throwback, but kind of like our interlocking UH, should probably stay there. In general, I think Tech should basically always be primarily black with red accents.
(More controversially, I think we should bring ours back, too.)
While we’re on the topic, I think minimalism in sports branding in general has gone too far. Not everybody needs to be Penn State or Alabama. Some schools (UH, Tech, OKState) should be flashy and take big swings on uniforms. Hit it out of the park sometimes, strike out sometimes.
