Disagree. Chris needs to work hard, keep improving and fight for the QB spot.
If Wigman beats him fair and square, fine. He can look at other options, on his terms.
No need writing him off before spring.

This guy?
You always need a good back up QB anywayâŠWe can work on his passing this SpringâŠhe can still go in games as a wingback and catch passes or run the ball. Need to see what happens on offense this spring.
I havenât seen Zeon really prove he will out compete Conner, just based on film alone.
If Zeon was that good, then he wouldâve been a 5 star himself instead of beginning his football career at U of L
Chriss ainât it⊠weâve seen that already.
Chriss has good athleticism, but never showed me last year he had the QB intangibles to be successful at QB. Reading defenses, touch on passes, staying in the pocket when the rush is coming. Those intangibles take years to develop. Chriss has succeeded using his raw athleticism. At this level of play, you need more than athleticism to play QB.
If Chriss wants to play at the next level, he best move to a position that takes advantage of his God given ability.
Majority of these kids will never make it to the NFL. Why not play the position you love while you have the opportunity to do it?
I disagree with most people on this.
Zeon Is still very young. With a couple of offseasons, He could improve. And that god given ability he has, you cannot teach.
I could be a little bit of a homer, but he is as explosive asRG3 and j Danielâs When itâs time to tuck the ball and go score a touchdown
People forget, he actually won us games.
First and foremost Chriss has to be healthy. We have no idea if he played hurt and for how long. He will decide what he wants to do. Donât be shocked if enters the Spring transfer portal. He knows that Conner will start. I feel bad for the kid since our entire OL was sub par and our OC was so mediocre. As a coach you want to put your players in the best way(s) to succeed. We clearly did not. Chriss made some great reads and plays last year. I still believe he can be an outstanding QB. More than likely he wonât be with us.
Seriously doubt heâll ever be an outstanding QB unless maybe he plays for a school that runs the option. He simply lacks the skills needed to be a legit passer at the P4 level.
One thing that Donovan and Chriss have in common is that they both regressed mightily under our previous OC. Let see how he does under a new OC with us or somewhere else.
YouTube has a highlight video of Connor.
He can really sling the football !
But he also can run. Numerous plays showed him running and making tacklers Miss in the open field.
We just upgraded our QB position big time!
You can have a great QB but it does not mean that he will be best utilized. We have the chance that our new OC knows CWF inside out. I have no doubts that CWF made the right hire. I canât wait for our new offenseâŠI know I am not alone.
It is major that our new OC was hired weeks ago. Our portal recruiting and I would even go further our offensive recruiting period was done by our new OC game plan in mind. LETâS GO COOGS.
I feel that, especially after the holiday meal trains.
You too
Leave it to the aggies to do less with more.
There will be a world of difference in the OLine protecting Weismann compared to that of Chris.
There is a new OC.
Until both compete on the same playing field with the same starting cast you cannot say Chriss ainât it.
I do think Weigman is better fit for the CWF system. More like Prett.
But with the right OC and right OLine I think Chriss could be really good.
They will compete on the same practice field. If a player canât beat out another in practice, the odds are he wouldnât be better in the games.
