Have you ever looked at an NBA mock draft?
The ones that show a year or two ahead all have projections of what each player might be like in the NBA.
So you have a kid that is a senior in high school, still at least a year away from draft….They will say this kid projects to be like ( insert NBA player’s name).
I’m not sure why anyone thinks it’s silly.
We do the same thing in baseball……we project what the kid can be in the future after size, muscle, speed, footwork, etc. all improve)
Some kids you can tell they don’t protect well……seen am A LOT of kids that were studs in high school and it did not transfer to college or minors.

Everybody knows pro comparisons are supposed to be taken as comparable to college game. Like Javier Francis floor comp could be Clint Capela. Doesn’t mean at worse he will literally be in the NBA averaging 14 and 11 on the best team in the league at some point. Just means as a college player at the very least he will be a player that’s a rim runner who blocks shots, rebounds, and dunks.

While I love Roberts’ baby hook I too would love to see him step out and shoot. Maybe coach is saving that part of his game for the playoffs lol

He tricked us man but fr I hope it is too. JoJo seems a lot more aggressive offensively than Roberts was
Difference is Fabian was always shooting jumpers. Just not 3s. It would be nice if he could at least step out to 15 feet

That left-handed hook is deadly, though. I wish we could get our spacing better so he could wear that thing out. He’s got such a good feel for that shot.
Now if he added a right-handed version…or even work in the sky hook, he’d be practically unstoppable down low.

Coach needs to bring a stretch wing/4 to next season’s squad.
He shouldn’t be banking on Roberts, Francis or Tugler to play that role until proven.
Yeah they did figure that out. They over play his right shoulder now. He gets that right hand down and he’s cooking
Hoping to see Tugler play in the playoffs. Hopefully he has a game at UH…

I don’t see the real need for him to on this team but then again I am fine having a center who doesn’t shoot threes.
Be interesting to see who the 3rd big will be next season presuming Walker is in the NBA.

Great piece on JoJo in the Chronicle today. I’m searching for the link but haven’t been able to find it
Jojo and several of his Cy Falls team mates were at the Memphis game. The young man is huge. It wouldn’t surprise me If he’s 6-8. He already has some bulk on him.
