Big12 Tourney Bracket if today.
“Game 10 – 2:00 PM CT
Game 6 Winner vs. (1) Houston”

I like this format. I like giving everyone a chance to compete for the auto-bid.

And I like that they give the top 4 a double bye.

It’ll be interesting to see how everything turns out. I think the Big12 is pretty much capped at 8 possible bids, with a strong possibility of slipping to 7. I would short Baylor. I think they won’t make it. And I doubt ASU or BYU can capitalize.

usually there isn’t but this year i’d take that last 1 seed in a heartbeat even if it means going west

espn college gamdays host, i think it was Andraya Carter(i’m not sure as i dont watch espn gameday just happened to fliip to while she was talking) just picked the coogs in the final four.

not sure how good a picker she is, but to have someone on the espn gameday bandwagon for the coogs long before march is great !

So our path there could be, UT, then Aggy then Bama, then Auburn then Duke. We have a lot of familiarity with that lot.

UT, A&M and Memphis route to the final four would be so toxic :sob:

Oof absolute hatred tour right there. Final Four would be almost an emotional let down

There is absolutely no way the SEC is getting three 1 seeds. That’s crazy. But I do like that bracket for us.

or epic, if we beat them

Auburn, Duke, and Alabama are good bets. The fourth is more up in the air, but CBS has Tennessee as a 1-seed, and Florida and A&M are 2-seeds. Iowa State was a 1 but they’ve lost their chance the past week or so. Marquette lost at home to UCONN. If they lose again tonight at St. John’s their hopes for a 1-seed will probably be dashed. Decent chance the Big 12 could get that spot, but UH or Tech would have to win some quad one games this month and in early March. Arizona has six losses, which makes it very difficult for them. So, yeah, I could see Tennessee getting a one-seed, especially if they win two at Kentucky, A&M, and Ole Miss, and beat Bama in Knoxville.

The SEC has way too many good teams this year and will cannibalize itself a bit the rest of the way. Alabama and Tennessee both are going to catch a few more Ls before conference play ends. Duke is lucky this year with the ACC being complete garbage outside of them. They were smart enough to get some good wins in OOC to bolster their resume. Tennessee, Florida and Alabama are already behind us in NET, so we just need to take care of business to snag that last 1 seed.

Please sweet baby Jesus let this happen. Taking them all down en route to a natty would be so funny

Midwest please.

Three 1 seeds has already been done before. So it’s definitely possible. The SEC had the greatest non-conference performance a league has ever had. The chances of them getting three ones is probably around 30%. And it goes up with every ISU, UH, and Michigan St loss.
