BREAKING: Keisean Henderson listed as the 2026 #1 overall recruit

Weigman is not a blue blood QB. If he was, he would’ve never had transfer from A&M.

That’s not to take away from what he’s done here at UH, but I don’t think Weigman would out-compete Keisean.

Weigman still shows inconsistency for which the defense has to compensate for.

If Weigman was a junior or senior at Bama, then I would agree with you. UH is not Bama. It’s not Texas. It’s not A&M.

Could we get there? Perhaps. But that’s not where the program is at this moment.

sorry for challenging your victim complex earlier… please continue complaining that the 5 star players we’re getting aren’t rated high enough by a singular rating service just because they committed to UH. definitely NOT a bad look lol

His recruiting rating coming out of high school was 0.0001 lower than Henderson’s is right now. That’s not a meaningful differentiation if you’re making an apples:apples comparison.

Would he still hold that ranking if assessed today?

Have they changed the metrics for a composite rating?

He was the #3 rated QB in his class. He transferred because he got hurt and programs that recruit at A&Ms level move on quick. That doesn’t lessen his pedigree and besides that he’ll be a senior that already knows our system. That means he’ll be quite a bit ahead of KH.

Did you think Fritz offered KH the starting spot while recruiting him?
Seems like you have presumed a lot.
He’ll have to win the role

yeah every top flight program that’s competing at an elite level has pipelines of 4 and 5 star talent for key positions that redshirt for depth and to develop.

Carlisle likely transfers out… if he intends to play QB.

My point is that Weigman was indeed a high rated recruit, but his career didn’t reflect that down the line.

Now perhaps bad luck (injuries) played a significant role along with inconsistency which he dealt with at A&M.

I’m not trying to dog Weigman. He’s why we are 8-2, but he’s also why we lot to WVU and almost lost to UCF. There are a few other select games where defense saved the day.

Weigman is not going to keep his job solely based on experience if he’s competing with Keisean. Carlisle? Yes. Keisean? No.

I didn’t say anything about starting.

I’m saying he’s not going to come here and sit on the bench. He’ll be used in packages and will play as the game allows.

Arch is a perfect example. He saw the field his freshman year, albeit limited. I imagine the same for KH.

Yeah but Henderson has yet to play a College Football game.

I mean, I’m filled with joy that Henderson is rated 5 stars. But so was Connor, at one point. Of course, the injuries did not help him at aggy.

KH will definitely play some next season but unless Weigman moves on then he’s more than likely redshirting.

Zeon knew the system too, yet Weigman got the job.

What makes Weigman have a different standard competed to Zeon?

As i said in a previous post. Weigman was recruited as a 5 star, but today, I would say he’s a 4 star or an elite 3 star.

Weigman experience or “knowing the system” isn’t going to hold up against someone like Keisean. To Carlisle? Sure.

And?

Are all true freshman bad?

BYU’s QB is a true freshman and they’re on the cusp of a CFP bid

Henderson hasn’t played a down of college football (he hasn’t even played at a particularly competitive high school level), so it doesn’t make sense to drag Weigman for perceived weaknesses at the college level.

The two QBs were rated the same coming out of high school, and that’s the only comparison that can be made right now.

With all due respect to the guy, you watched Zeon play last year, right?

You don’t know that. Our coaches don’t even know that especially on November 19th, 8 months away from Fall Camp for next season.

Not saying that. What I’m alluding to, when it comes to these 5 star recruits, is to take it with a grain of salt.

I’m not necessarily doubting Henderson. He’s earned that 5 Star ranking. And I do believe he will likely start next season.

If Keisean was an SEC commit, then I would agree that it would make sense to redshirt.

But UH is not Bama, and Weigman is not an SEC quarterback based on what I’ve seen.

At best, Weigman is a 5 or 6 win QB in the SEC.

In the Big 12, he’s an 8+ win QB with a defense to compensate for his inconsistency.

The WVU game falls on Weigman. Watch the film:
