Can we beat Iowa State?

We are 1-3 and a garbage time TD away from being shut out twice in four games lol.

Add insult to injury… Tulane beat ULL yesterday to mess up my parlay.

Better question is, who else will they beat? Baylor seems like the best bet.

I think we cover this game but I got us taking an L lol shocker

A sucky season would have been 4 -8. This is way beyond sucky and into so bad that he needs to sit down and decide if he wants to continue coaching. So far he is the wrong coach at the wrong school with the wrong offensive philosophy.

I agree…

6 wins is a. .500 season …that’s the definition of mediocre.

You aren’t competing for a Conference Championship or ending up in the top 25 with a 6-6 win season.

If we gave him a little grace for year 1, that is 4-8.

BUT a ONE win season and in the fashion we are losing these games is Dana Dimel CUSA level incompetence.

Our ONE win is vs Rice (no explanation needed) and CWF has INFINITELY more resources than Dana Dimel.

And to add insult to injury, Cincinnati is ALSO a rebuilding AAC to Big 12 level squad…but to get run off the Field like we’ve never played football before!!!

The problem is we don’t have 3-5 years to rebuild, and honestly neither does he.

This is not Tulane where people are just happy to get a win, and we are no longer in the AAC. It is imperative that we have a winning record next season.

CWF HAS to find a way to scratch out 3 more wins.

A ONE win season, with our level of resources, is unacceptable for ANY year…no matter the year of our coach.

Who was the last HC to only win one game in their first year. And YES, they inherent far bigger messes than this.

I, personally, don’t want this program to rerurn to late 90s/early 2000s level.

I feel you man. I don’t know, but I just feel like that as long as we keep Uncle TF involved in the process, we will continue to get duds. Every decision he has made regarding coaches has been a failure. He is picking dudes he wants working for him at Landry’s Inc. and not who can actually build a modern CFB program.

I am going to give CWF a chance, but just being honest, I don’t see it happening.

UH opens as 13.5-point home dog against Iowa State.

A 14-0 game in prime time is going to be exciting

Didn’t Fritz say something post game about open competition for QB this week? If so, that could be a game changer for the season.

Yesterday, I saw Smith miss throws that I could’ve made and I had surgery last Monday. It’s time to move on from Smith and damn the consequences.

Only win I can see is Baylor at home. I don’t like the TCU matchup. That feels like it could be a shootout type of game and that’s not who we are.

Maybe we beat KU?

How does ESPN have us with a 21% chance?

VERY difficult. But playing at home and with hopefully new young QBs we could pull an upset…Remember we do have a respectable defense.

…Important to be respectable in our opener against a UNLV team that likely wins MWC…We were. VERY important to go to Norman and not be embarrassed by OU…Our defense played excellent, and kept us in game the whole way…Important to win hate game rivalry against Rice…We DID that…Our defense hung on and did best they could with ZERO help from a dreadful offense in the Cincy game…That game is important because it is going to spur changes at QB position to younger, better players and THAT is what we need most right now…Our coaching has been excellent the whole way…

Last week it was 42% chance of a win. I guess getting shut out by cinci made it move a little.

Favored by 3, we avoided a shutout by scoring with 1 minute left. Even with that TD, losing by 20 is generally not considered respectable.
