We were taught in the academy that if you can articulate that you were in fear for your life that you can use deadly force. The problem is it’s subjective.
In Good’s case I don’t see how he was in fear for his life either. If I personally was in his shoes I would have just moved and we would have went after and arrested her. She wasn’t driving 50 miles an hour at him.
On the flip side I’d never drive off with a cop in front of my car and one beside me. They aren’t deciding my fate.

In one of the videos there’s an ICE agent a few feet away enthusiastically clapping and applauding while looking at Pretti dead on the ground after the shots ceased. Absolutely deranged.

The problem with this is that it doesn’t include the word “reasonable,” which is what is in almost every relevant statute and is what would have to be proven to mount a successful defense. The shooter would have had to “reasonably” have feared for his life, and a jury would have to accept that.
So in this case, the guy who drew his gun from behind an unarmed man who was being restrained and pistol-whipped by 4 or 5 other officers, then emptied the clip into him with no warning has to prove that he “reasonably feared for his life” when he shot him at least 6 times.

It’s like a basketball full court press and keep turning it over giving up layups. The law enforcement border patrol/ICE just cannot handle the situation that they’re in. They’re in a postion that they keep turning it over and giving up layups. Screwing up the use of force situation. Does the left have to apply a full court press and force these turnovers? That’s up for interpretation but clearly some of these cats can’t wait to pull their gun.
My dad had his ribs broken by a power trip cop in front of me when I was in 9th grade. My dad was resisting and drunk. He was justified in his rage but the cope didn’t have to work him over like that. He took it too far. Nothing ever happened to the cop. He was fired not long after for excessive force and took his bs elsewhere.
Have you actually watched the videos? He had not engaged anyone and had his back to them when they grab and maced him.
How can you ask a question about fighting the police when that clearly didn’t happen

He won’t have to prove it as DHS is doing the “investigation” not the FBI or local agencies and just like the Goode shooting, DOJ will be directed to investigate everyone except the shooter.
I am a big 2A guy and I was told over and over “they” the libs would take away my 2A, 1A and 4A rights. Now the same people who told me what to fear are the one’s trampling on my rights.

I finally saw the before video. He was helping it looked liked a lady and man. They pepper sprayed him for that then took him down. They piled on him like a pack of heyenas.
None of the 3 individuals looked to be acting aggressively.

Maybe. The state of Minnesota will have ample evidence to prosecute this, even if they have to wait a year or two. Plus, a civil suit will undoubtedly come out of this. This won’t stay in the dark.

I don’t have an issue with ICE deporting people but this is rough. I would personally just steer clear of law enforcement now. There are high emotions on both sides and tunnel vision is getting the best of some law enforcement.

Probably not. I am far right type guy but don’t put a 5 foot 8 guy to guard a 6 foot 7 guy. It’s not gonna work. Our 5 foot 8 ICE guys in this secanrio can’t handle the 6 foot 7 guy which is carrying out interactions with the public.
If they can’t handle being on the court quit subbing them into the game. In this case ICE border patrol. These guys clearly are not used to physical altercations/confrontations.
