Can we discuss murder here, or nah?

That is sad to hear. Is that who we are as a nation? Where segments of the population have to carry papers to prove they belong and others don’t.

I have been assuming that it was true that the guy actually did have a gun on him at some point. But do we really know that’s true?

I wonder because the picture that has been posted about the gun allegedly recovered is the exact same gun that ICE agents are issued. And it doesn’t look like the kind of gun that most regular citizens would carry.

Yes, he did have it and was legally permitted to carry. Since the picture of the weapon was put online it was confirmed it looked like Sig he owned.

But he never brandished it or used it in a threatening manor.

I have become so disapointed by the NRA since they heralded Rittenhouse yet were silent on other incidents since and now they will be silent on this case too.

I have seen so many rise up against tyrany videos from the NRA encouraging people to carry to protect themselves.

But where did that information come from? If it’s from the same source that said he was threatening them, then color me unconvinced.

It’s kind of a sidebar issue to me, anyway. The fact that he legally possessed a gun before it was taken away has no bearing on whether the ICE guy was legally justified to shoot him in the back of the head.

He was on his knees bent over like if you were doing a tornado drill back when I was in elementary. You likely had one cop who just couldn’t control himself.

DHS put out this picture out pretty quickly.

The color is easy to see in the videos where they pause on the agent who took it from his holster/waistband.

I have seen some reports that friends of the victim recognized the picture posted by DHS as one he owned.

I just haven’t seen any pictures or videos that show him carrying a gun, much less one that size. I’m not saying it isn’t true; I’m just saying I don’t believe uncorroborated DHS info.

Can we agree this is inaccurate?

There is no evidence he was an “assasin” but its all over my social media feed.

Steven Miller is the guy behind the ICE tactics and strategy for the administration.

This is more than “inaccurate,” which implies a simple mistake of fact. But I won’t get into what it actually is, as that veers into the political realm.

I just hope that everyone who might be inclined to believe that takes a couple of minutes to watch actual videos of the situation from multiple angles.

He wasn’t trying to murder cops. What in the hell was a cop pistol whipping him for? Omg when is that ever taught?

This is a bunch of mall cops wannabe security guys.

Not only that, but calling a guy who was actually being a “good Samaritan” a terrorist is reprehensible.

There is a reason why police officers don’t wear masks. People want more accountability from law enforcement, not less.

As a reminder, this is how Rittenhouse rolled up to the protest back then. Can you imagine the outcry if federal agents had pepper sprayed, tackled, pistol whipped and then shot him because of a perceived threat?

Stick to the issue, please. Don’t derail.

This topic is temporarily closed for at least 12 hours due to a large number of community flags.

Why are you letting a thread open while some posters are clearly expressing an opinion when they themselves gave no clues about the actual facts?
They are repeating a narrative that has been debunked time and time again.
Why?
The same media media that is reporting this so called killiking is the same media that lied about this five years old. No only was the five years old not kidnapped by the police but it turned out that his dad ran away from ICe and left his little boy behind.
Not one single media outlet from a certain side reported the truth.
That same story is now being reported worldwide.
A journalist is supposed to verify its sources at least two to three times. This is not the case time and time again.
You want to have a thread on this? Go ahead and post these media outlets lies. These same media outlets are on purpose adding fuel to this fire.

You don’t have to rely on “media reporting” unless you want to, but that’s not what’s going on in this thread. Nobody is forcing you to engage in a legitimate discussion of clearly observable facts.

Stick to the issue. You’re free to discuss. But stick to the topic.

This is a significant current event and I try to let people discuss them. It was a good conversation back and forth too. Don’t ruin it.

Feel free to debate and discuss this issue.
