Case is destined to be a coach soon

It’s destined to happen. I feel Case is going to be hired soon. He’d be an amazing QB coach or offensive coordinator.

Imagine Keenum, Wood, and Fritz? Actually, Case’s presence would help recruit a young QB.:slightly_smiling_face: We’ll see if Case retires. I actually think Case not being in the Texan’s locker room is effecting CJ.

is he not still with the Texans? does he even WANT to be a college coach?

I see his name thrown around quite a bit on here regarding being a coach at UH. I love me some Keenum as much as the next guy, but playing football even in the NFL doesn’t = coach.

Case’s current role with the Texans is basically a graduate assistant. He’s gonna have his shot at coaching. That much has been obvious for years.

Keenum was voted onto the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) executive committee in March and had been hired in several teams to be a mentor for young QB’s.

Even Demeco Ryan’s talked about how Case is a leader on and off the field. There have been rumors the Texans were going to hire him in the organization in the future. We’ll see what happens when Case retires.

I think Case as the QB coach would be great

Wouldn’t mind him getting some experience at NFL level or anywhere else before we put him in that position.

Not that I doubt his ability to coach, it’s in his blood, and we’ve all seen him be a coach on the field. The football version of Jamal Shead before there was a Jamal Shead.

Which NFL team would not want Case?
Case has played in almost every offensive system known to man.
Case has played against every defensive system known to man.
He is charismatic, tough, funny but most importantly he is a student of the game.
Will he go into ministry? This was brought up before.
I wish from a selfish point of view that he keeps playing. Is it in his best interest at his age with young children to keep playing?
Don’t forget that he is also great on TV.

As OC/QB Coach, we’d become a powerhouse!

Case is going to be an NFL coach, which is where the real money is at

Case isn’t driven by money.

To be fair, I don’t think Case has been driven by anything other than job security. Being a traveling man’s QB isn’t necessarily by choice. That’s a lifestyle that is rough.

At this point, he will likely be driven by money and locational sustainability. That comes with the NFL because there are far less teams and they are willing to make the investment.

College coaching turnover is much higher, and if you fail at your first stop then it’s going to be a hard road to climb.

If Case gets any opportunity at an NFL job whether it’s OC or QB’s coach, then he absolutely needs to take it.

Not everyone is cut out to coach the prima donna’s of the NFL. Nick Saban is a prime example. He didn’t excel until he starting coaching at the college level. Case strikes me as that kind of guy

Given the opportunity Case or anybody else will have a hard time declining the offer. Case brings what every NFL franchise is looking for.
He has more experienced at the NFL level than most current and wanna be NFL coaches.

Saban didn’t play in the NFL.

He coached in the NFL

Only Case and his family know what he is driven by.

To say Case is driven by money can be completely off. Not only did Case sign a two year $36 million deal with the Broncos a while back but he also signed a two year and $6.25 million, with $4 million guaranteed contract with the Texans. So Case is set for life if he hasn’t partied and blown all his money.

I have a friend that played a few years in the NBA and signed a million dollar contract who is doing more than just fine today financially. Athletes that know how to manage their money have a huge financial advantage over your avg household.

for the Oilers, even

As much as I want Keenum at UH, I’m not sure he wants the headaches of NIL and the transfer portal.

Plus he has spent more time in the NFL and probably knows multiple systems to where he can start off.

Even Jim Harbaugh went back to the NFL and he was at Michigan.

Just think what Case could do for recuiting. Quality QB recruits would be lining up

He coached at LSU where he won a national championship before he went to the NFL. He went from the NFL to Alabama.
