Case Keenum Thread

Nice TD pass.

Keenum looking good. The announcers are really putting Keenum over as a veteran QB and mentor to Caleb Williams. They also said Keenum is one of the best college QBs this century.

Keenum has been the best QB on the field, and that includes Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders.

Case has had a great career coming off the bench and I am sure he has enough money saved to last a life time.
It will be interesting what he does after his career is over. I can see him being a very successful NFL coach in the future, but I can also see him wanting to settle down in a small town coaching Texas high school football.
Hope I am wrong, but with the college game the way it is now, I see him staying with the pros or maybe high school.
Of course it is his decision. Regardless he will always be a Cougar legend thanks to one Art Briles who reached out and recruited him when few others looked his way…

It is going to be an interesting final cut week. Even though he is under contract nfl teams are mostly known for making stupid/dumb decision. The texans basically released Case and we all know how the texans qb room ā€œevolvedā€
9/10 with two TD’s is no small feat. Just think how the texans could hsve gained if they had kept him. Yes nfl teams are mostly known for masking stupid decisions. How are the browns been doing?

Case can definitely start for some NFL teams but probably won’t get the opportunity because of his age. They will be looking for younger guys with better ā€˜measurables’.

Proud of Case & Go Coogs!

He very well might be most valuable as a backup/mentor to younger QB’s. However, as we know, Case will be ready to start if called upon.

Case would probably make a good TV analyst if he decided to go that direction.

He would be awesome and has already had great ā€œtapeā€ with espn and others. He has a great personality and is genuinely funny. Everywhere he has been he has engaged with the local media. IMO he is a natural. He is surely on many teams’ radar to be part of their managerial team.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. The Texans should’ve never let Case go. CJ hasn’t been the same since.

100% agree with you and that is not only the QB that can learn from Case but the entire offense including the OL, TE, WR’s and the running back room. When you create different packages Case’s mind and experience is MONEY
I mentioned it earlier. The nfl is known for making stupid decisions over and over again that can impact their franchise for years to come.
I don’t know why but the nfl’s history of stupid decisions should be part of a George Wallace special:

Stroud hasn’t been same QB since Case left. He’s degressed. I’m a big fan of CJ but my observation

Glad Case is getting recognition, especially great college career

Case left the Texans and CJ Stroud got worse. Case arrived in Chicago and Caleb Williams got vastly better. Case was/is the defacto quarterback coach at both places.

When did he do that? I don’t remember him ever doing a live broadcast.

He did a spring game here a couple years ago.

Yes!

I believe he’d be good at that, and it helps that he has a charismatic personality, so I feel that he has the potential to be a fan favorite.

Case reminds me of Jim Nantz. Everybody like him and he is a great ambassador of the game and of UH. Case would be a great coach or broadcaster. Can you imagine him calling an NFL game along side of Nantz?

As a broadcaster he would be out of the rat race and able to spend more time with his family. By the way what age is his oldest?

That would make too much sense for the Texans.

Kevin Kolb earned $29,000,000.00 over his 7 year career. He has done well.

Case Keenum, a 38‑year‑old quarterback with 13 NFL seasons, has earned $57,184,877 in his professional career. He has done well also. Both should be set for life.

Case is still one of my all time favorite Coogs; he is probably my favorite. But I have a lot that I can put in that category.
