Jerry Palm has the Sagarin ratings. Every offseason, he moves up big name schools and drops down small name schools for his preseason ranking. It’s the most biased piece of crap in college football. People that give any credence to his rankings are either ones that benefit the most from his bias or people that think because it’s a computer ranking, it must be unbiased.

Best example. UCF finished 13th in the Sagarin to end last year and started 38th this year. Florida State finished 28th and started 8th.

No bias there right?

who the heck cares, that thing is an elite’s elite poll as it only matters who the top 6 is from here on out.

unless UH is unbeaten when that rolls out, it means nothing to UH as they are not mentioning anyone outside the top 10 from here on out.

as long as UH is in the top25 from here out and next season, good enough for me.

It matters for NY6 purposes. We need to focus on winning, and winning big when we can, to make sure we stay ahead of Fresno and Utah State. Doesn’t matter if we are #15, #25 or #35 as long as we win the conference and are ranked higher than the MWC champion.

17 in the AP/Coaches. We now have 2 players in a lot of top 10 Heisman lists. They can’t do this to us. We’ve got to be somewhere. I’ll take 25, we just gotta be on there.

There is a lot of movement over the last 5 weeks.
2014 Ohio State was ranked 16th
2015 OU was ranked 15th

The last two years, all four finalists were in the top 6 in the first poll. I feel like with all the conferences being told they had to have a championship game, Alabama is the only team in the country allowed to lose their division and still be in the top 4. The rest of the P5 get one loss and they have to win their conference championship game or they are out.

I am watching the program tonight.

  1. Pointing out UCF schedule is back loaded.
  2. They started out last year at #18 after going 7-0. The question is how much higher do they start this year because of winning 20 straight games.

They want the G5 to feel grateful for being ranked in the teens with an undefeated record. Ridiculous

Unbelievable. Iowa State? Syracuse? Must be nice to have a conference name to hide behind. Just have to hope the pretenders keep losing and we keep winning.
