We do have one open date next year. Somebody tell Pezman to schedule a third P5 next year in our open date.
Has long as we are not P5, this should always be our plan.
You guys that want a 3rd P5 next year, do you want us to have only 5 home games? No P5 is coming here if we don’t return there until 2024.
They can reschedule one of those FCS schools.

It doesn’t matter who we schedule OOC, we aren’t making the playoff. Might as well schedule like we have been and keep shooting for conference championships and the NY6 invite.
What is the point of going 2-2, 3-1, or even 4-0 OOC when they are just going to ding us for our conference. It is amazing to me that some people still don’t get it. They will just keep moving the goalposts.

So make some adjustments to future games against Ga Southern, etc.
Except our schedule is full of FBS schools through 2023.
We already did taht to make room for Boise State.

I do believe… I believe that this system, the CFP, was made to ensure that no non-namebrand team makes the playoff. Living in reality helps avoid disappointment from unrealized fantasies.

UAB has an OOC available but not on 9/7 or 9/21. FIU and FAU do. Wait and see I guess.
Miami has 9/7 available.
Florida State would be good if they can move ULM to another date.

It’s not just about availability. Our AD is in contact with all of these schools. Most of the P5 won’t even talk about a home and home series. Some will talk about a home and home series but they will want us to play our home game in Reliant or 6 years from now. So then it comes down to, if we have only 5 home games scheduled and one opening, our best offer is, come play here in 2019 and we will play there in 2024. That is a hard sell.
Our OOC schedule is solid enough for 2019. We don’t need to add a third road game, especially against a P5.

We can also play there but start in Houston first. I assume Pezman has already tried the available P5s and cannot get them. At least I hope he tried.
