And your suggestion is……….

Didn’t Cryer come here to learn how to run point?

I saw Kellen yell something into the stands but couldn’t tell what was doing on. Thanks for clarification.

BS…… he has a LONG way to go before even considering going pro.

More Stats from last night.

Jojo had two more offensive rebounds than any Aggie player had TOTAL rebounds :exploding_head:

Says who.

Sampson will do what is best for the team. If he wants Cryer at the point then that’s where he will be. At this point I think Wilson takes that spot so Cryer can do what he does best.

I guess it was just his defense he wanted to specifically work on here…

Fact!

This is why it’s tricky… Wilson is elite at what he does, but that doesn’t mean he’s a point guard or a playmaker. He’s more of a short wing who’s skilled at protecting the ball and avoiding turnovers.

His main advantage as a point guard is that he doesn’t turn the ball over as the primary ball handler vs pressure.

However, I don’t think that role is untouchable, and it’s something other players can learn. I think Ramon can almost manage it now, and potentially, Mercy could reach that level by game 13 or 14. A&M is not a strong defensive team, so if we face a solid defense and go into a scoring drought, we’re not just going to put Mylik in to stop it. Mylik was our second-best point guard two seasons ago, yet we still chose freshman Sharp as the guard off the bench when shead when to the bench.

The bench is super deep, coogs have a legit rotation. Going to see key players get rest more often

I love Mercy and I think he is going to be a stud here…but Mercy, Mercy, he needs to really work on his defense. He can be a scorer off the bench as a freshman…
And I too think too many or selling Sharp short. His handles keep improving and the guy is so much more confident with the ball. Same with Arceneaux.
I was pleasantly surprised at how confident Arc shot the ball. If he continues with that confidence I expect to be special. Same with JoJo, who just wrecks everything when he is charging the rim.
I like Mylick’s game and I think he can be a difference just like Ramon. What I like most about them most is that they are seasoned seniors and they have been there before…

Looks like Jojo is shooting for multiple SC Top 10 appearances this year. Very nearly got his first poster of the season last night.

As he builds confidence he is going to an animal at the rim. He got his shots off yesterday but it was like the basket had a lid lol. Sampson is going to encourage him to keep taking those shots and eventually they are going to start dropping.
Kid has an NBA body right now…but dang he still needs to breath and start hitting free throws lol

Tugler also drew several fouls when he was trying to grab an offensive rebound. That’s equal to an extra possession, too. He is a beast.

Being ready to contribute at the NBA level and the NBA being ready to draft you are two totally different things.
