There are literally HUNDREDS of empty seats.
What are they trying to accomplish in forcing this two days before the game? They should be doing whatever they can to sell any tickets at this point.
It’s just so UH.

Its like you said, there are a lot of empty seats. Just select 2 other seats somewhere else.
Yeah, there aren’t two by themselves where I want to sit.
So instead of one empty seat, they’ll have three. Great strategy!
I get the frustration but that’s how literally every venue across the country sells tickets.
Right. For games, not practice. ![]()
Thats a BS excuse when you were not even planning to go.
I don’t need an excuse. I’ll go if I want to. I was waiting on the start time for the football game and to see if some other things fell into place. I hope that’s OK with you. ![]()
My point is that they have a ton of tickets left, and they should be making it easier to sell whatever they can instead of enforcing a “no singles” policy that will just result in more empty seats for a fundraiser/practice.
No big deal to me either way. I just realized that I’d already be there for the football game, so might as well get there a bit earlier to watch the scrimmage. But I can wait for the start of the season. ![]()
The football game is on Saturday. The basketball exhibition game is on Sunday.
I knew there was a reason I wasn’t going. ![]()
What’s also funny is that I can buy one of the three seats I was looking at, but I can’t buy two. ![]()

That’s common with most
A&M things I’m looking forward to:
I think it will be very telling if either of these guys get off a 3 pt attempt in this scrimmage. If they do, they likely have the green light during the season, which I will be very much looking forward to.
This could be the most interesting aspect of this whole season. We’ve never seen this level of depth and there are endless rotation possibilities. Just for grins, I would love to see a rotation with 2 of McFarland, JoJo and Francis on the floor at the same time just to see if anyone can get a shot off in the paint. Maybe even all 3 if McFarland really can stretch the floor. Probably not a winning combo, but it would be fun to see in a scrimmage or blowout.
You hit it on the nose though. McFarland came to be a 3!
That happened to me, so I just bought the extra seat. $41 a ticket is a steal for a Coogs game against a top 25 opponent, even if it is an exhibition. Gave me the opportunity to invite someone else to the game and hopefully I can make them a UH fan as well.
The last 2 A&M games were phenomenal, I hope we work out more nonconference games in the future.
Not sure what to expect now that there is a decent chance we play A&M in Vegas.
I like that we get to play a physical team who can challenge us in that respect though rebounding is the smallest of my concerns with this team.
I hope Uzan can play because I think it is a great opportunity and will help his development early in the season. Not sure if Vegas may impact how we do anything and how much our primary guys play. Guessing we see a lot of 6 or 8-15 in this one.
All in all it is just a chance to bang our heads against a good veteran group to help us stay grounded and hold us an accountable early in the season. I wouldn’t draw too big of conclusions from this game. I doubt whatever happens Sunday will impact how I feel about this team other maybe our PG looking like a top 3 scorer or elite defender.
You forgot the “lol” !
2 days
He thinks he can ultimately be a 3. But he’s got a long way to go.
That’s probably why those tickets are still available. Plenty of others would’ve taken two.
Well, I’m glad now that they were restricted - saved me from buying tickets to something I thought was on a different day. ![]()
The tickets I was going to buy are unsurprisingly all still available. ![]()
