What is the Air It Out challenge?
I too have supported Clayton. His father posts on occasion. I know he and mom are very proud. That Navy loss showed me everything I needed to know. Clayton throwing haymakers and single-handedly keeping us in it.
Bringing back the stach!!! Who was the last Heisman winner with a mustache?
Worst handling of a redshirt ever. Played trash time in TSU and ECU games, then had to jump in for Tulane and Memphis at the end of the season. Burned the redshirt at the bowl game where we had no body. Dormady should have played one of those games (or Ike) to save that year for Tune.
It worked out since Tune got that 5th year anyway.
The staff had promised Dormady that he would get to redshirt (and transfer back out) if he didnāt start. That put āem in a pickle and sucked for Tune, but they were true to their word.
Yeah, by the bowl game Dormady wanted to redshirt and transfer again. But they could have used Dormady for Texas Southern or ECU trash time. I guess Ike could have been thrown to the wolves for that Navy game or Bryson Smith put back at QB too. Applewhite was coaching for his job though! Didnāt work out.
all 45 college qbs competed (see provided list). Rnd 1 was throwing to 4 live route rcvrs followed by hitting 3 moving targets. only 5 qbs made it to the final. they had to again hit 3 moving targets. Clayton drew the last spot. the first 4 did no better than 2. Clayton came up having to hit all 3 for the walk off win. andā¦ā¦he did! 1,200 HS campers, camp staff & college QB peers went wild!! Clayton missed his first team WO (Fri) since starting tackle FB in the 1st grade. Dana supported his participation. the PR for U of H FB, Dana (+ staff) & the City of Houston was worth the miss!! Go Coogs!!
thank you for the first person information. No rumors or sportswriters to tell us what happened. Straight from the Momās mouth (keyboard).
Would you tell us who the 4 losers were?
donāt know that but will find out & report back tomorrow evening after our weekly touch base call!
Thanks so much.
Not so fun fact on Tune. He has 31 career starts. In those starts heās been sacked 87 times! Almost 3 per game. How heās been able to get better with such shoddy protection is amazing. Iāll have more on that in my QB preview article in late July. And now my favorite poster (Derek Parishās mom) is going to have some competition in Claytonās mom! Welcome aboard, maāam!
Heās a tough cookie. Right up there with Case.
Iām betting those numbers are higher in earlier years that last year.
Tuneās numbers are about to skyrocket now that Dell can work the inside slot a lot more.
Donāt leave out the TE position.
True, but they still allowed 35 last season. In 14 games. A little more than 2 per game. And thatās with a line where every player started all 14. If they can improve Tuneās numbers will be even better IMO.
Hopefully he can play all season with two good legs vs 1 like 70% of last season.
This
Yes it didā¦He was canned !!!
