Interesting that 46 of their 69 FG attempts were threes.
They shot 26 FTs which seems to indicate a foul was called the majority of times they attacked the basket.

no likely a PT holdout… he wasnt the starter in the scrimmage vs UNC and only got 15 minutes… the2nd best player on memphis in the scrimmage was the guy in front of him, nick jourdain who had 28 minutes , 11pts and 9 rbs 2blks, 2 stls… the writing was on the wall who was going to get the lions share of minutes at the 4

One thing Memphis has been very consistent with under PH and JP is DRAMA. This stuff is all the time for them.

new NIT selection process
Old auto bid: top regular season team from every conference (based on conference standings), get auto bid… but if your top team is in the NCAA tournament, the auto bid is gone
New process: top team not selected for the NCAA tournament from only the top 12 conference, top 12 conferences decided by kenpom… top teams actually selected in based on a computer average (Of BPI, KPI, NET, KenPom, SOR, Torvik and WAB rankings)
