Fall HS Signee Logan Brown putting himself back on the market.

Keller 2026 product and one of the state's top two-way players re-opens his recruitment. Has been a force with the bat and thrown a lot of key innings for a team playing for a state title this week. At 6-5, upside as RHP and RHH.

These are two guys you would have liked to have kept….both would have started next year….

Davis says he called EVERY player….guess they weren’t feeling it.

He was the top incoming Freshman IMO.

One-third of our dingers from 2026 season just walked out the door with Jackson and Perez. The other top 3 offense guys will also be gone (Cox and Climie as Seniors and Broussard to the draft)

One key guy to keep around is Hoffman to help anchor the pitching staff.

bummer

Led Lamar in BA, SLG, and OPS. Strong offensive production for a catcher.

First of all I would like to thank everyone at Lamar for the amazing year and the chance to play with such an amazing group of guys. Now being said I have jump in the portal and made my commitment to the University of Houston! pic.twitter.com/q9bcm3qswR

I suppose it’s probable that many of the HS signees are choosing to reopen their recruitment and others are being told to do the same.

He doesn’t have power but he’s got a good eye and shows patience….also can run some it looks like.

I’m sure most are being “told”….but Logan Briwn would have been a nice keeper.

You had to figure that at least some of his better players would follow him here, just as some of Tulane’s best followed Fritz to UH and many of JMU’s best players went to Indiana with Cignetti.

We are going to need to hit the transfer portal hard.

I doubt Jayden Stewart is being told that.

I agree.

Hope they can hang on to him.

Not really……his best players were seniors….not much on that roster that is Big 12 quality….maybe a couple of others but it would be backup roles and I doubt those guys would want to transfer to sit the bench.

Well, that’s why I said SOME.

NOT all.

I do think that SOME of his best players, possibly three or so as you suggest, will make the move.

I can’t even have normal discourse with you….and btw, you completely missed the point of my post….which was hard to do….

I think you may have misread MY statement: You had to figure that at least SOME of his better players would follow him here

I didn’t say all. Just some.

And as I said, that happens in nearly EVERY coaching move these days, and I provided two recent examples.

Not sure what the issue is.

I never said that all his players would follow him, that all would be Big 12 worthy, or that he’d even want to take any more than SOME of his best players with him. I assume he would not.

And then I said we need to hit the transfer portal hard, which I think there’s pretty solid agreement on.

That doesn’t mean just Lamar players.

I’ll be up in Fort Worth area for an event this weekend….then a week later headed to Hoover, Alabama for a really good tournament.

Back in Abilene after that for a smaller tournament….then Dayton, Gainesville, and Boulder.

Gonna be some serious talent at these tournaments.

I doubt they head out of state much this year but I would hope they send a coach to the Hoover event.
