Coreyās issue is his ball-handling ability for his size; heās not a great ball-handler for an NBA PG. if he was about 3-4 inches taller, heād easily be an NBA SG.
I think heāll have to take a Pat Beverly type of route to the NBA and just put in a ton of work.
at this point, non of the 3 that left are likely making an NBA rosterā¦just being honest, but at the same time something that has been very evident is that second year players are owning the summer leagueā¦hopefully they all get g-league contractsā¦and owns summer league next season after improvements (and/or dominate the g-league and get a call up midseason)
devin davis has the best chance. who has started all the summer league games for orlandoā¦ heās really been making the most of his opportunity (got a super late gleague offer)ā¦looks like he has extended is range to the nba level
All 3 were flawed in some way but it looks like Galen is the best natural fit right now. His speed and defense alone are NBA level just needs to continue to improve his offensive game.
If Armoni and Corey can get there ball handling up they have a shot but they have work to do.
corey was playing offense really weirdā¦he was playing like a shooting guardā¦
theyd pass him the ball to take down and heād immediately pass it to a different guardā¦ at one point he should have obviously been the one taking the ball down (no other point or sg on the floor)ā¦but they had a power forward taking it down, he wasnt trying to take the role of the pointā¦he isnt being aggressive at all on offense eitherā¦he is passing it almost every play
he is playing like he did at UH, and not a NBA summer league environment where his only chance is at PG, and only those putting up big numbers have a real shot
Man, you guys are really negative on Corey and Armoniā¦ they have played a total of two professional games. Give them a chance to learn a little before making all these assumptions
