I’m sorry this game should be on new years day. I grew up looking forward to watching this bowl game every year.

Yea while I was driving as old ford car and sliding thru overpasses till around Buffalo. Think it took about 6 hours. I know many didn’t make it thru that night.

The Boston College game is legendary, it’s why people from UH still talk about 7-Eleven.

There was about an inch of ice on my seat, nearly froze mu butt off.

The Cotton Bowl vs BC was my first bowl game I attended at 12 years of age.
I do remember it being cold and dressed with about 4 layers. I recall us chasing Flutie around all game and it seemed we could never grab him. Also recall us mounting a comeback when Sloan Hood ran through their entire defense for a long TD that was called back for holding.

Went to the BC game and the folks from Boston thought it was just heavenly warm. They were in shirt sleeves and we were in everything in our closets and blankets. Have to say though, I did like a BC hat I saw with wings that moved when a guy pulled the strings hanging down. I still have the unused tix for the ND game, we got as far as Huntsville and had to turn back.

No, I am replying to your post about still shivering from the ND game. I was also at the BC Cotton Bowl which was not nearly as cold as the ND game.

Fortunately I sat in the press box but I remember the ice walk to get into the stadium and falling several times going to my car.
It took me over 10 hours to drive back to Conroe. No hotels with vacancies…cars sliding into ditches, bumper to bumper all the way to beyond Huntsville.
Got home and several frozen pipes and the toilets weren’t working.
All that and I know the ND receiver was out of bounds!
