It’s one thing to not be above average or even average….it’s something entirely different to be an embarrassment to the athletic program.
Pez better hope it’s not the latter or he’s going to be exposed.

The discussion on rpi was suspicious. Blaming everything on the AAC. The reason he’s not signing Houston kids is UH has out-of-state scholarships and he’s already maxed out with money??
I’m sorry. I like Todd. I hope he succeeds. But I heard little about, “We failed here…”

I’m never going to run down individual players but the talent level has been lacking for the last several years….that is one man’s responsibility….
At this level you don’t get to make excuses for anything and honestly I can’t stand people that do….
Pez is complicit and over his head….it reminds me so much of when you see a small town HS AD who only knows football and has no clue about basketball or baseball.

And consider that the Arizona schools with like 9 natties and a gazillion CWS appearances between them will now be our conference mates.
Not to mention Tech, TCU, and Baylor.

Arizona St. is not who they once were but Arizona is a team I consider a National power and can win the whole thing any given year.
So your point is valid.
The talent in the Big 12 is off the charts….Most people consider the SEC the top baseball conference.
In most years I think you could do a BIG 12 vs SEC challenge and it would be very close to .500 .

Ole Whit left out UH tanking is a big part of AAC RPI issues.
He was 1 game over .500 vs @ # 250 ranked OOC SOS.
Season before not much better.

Pez juggles one ball at a time. He seems befuddled when you ask him about something not stadium related or out of season.

He seems very sure of the new pitching coach and says he’ll be giving the PC a support staff as well to help with analytics, etc.
Also, interesting observation on the academic grants/scholarships available to out-of-state kids. Sounds like the state needs to fix that issue.

The people that run the sports website for the university should be ashamed of themselves when it comes to baseball! They do a very bad job of keeping up with the program!

And not just for the fans….how about current and future parents?
At the very least it’s a bad look and reflects poorly on the program….
As a coach I would be pissed and make sure it was fixed or even better, never an issue….but then that would require someone that was not just going through the motions.

The funny thing is, they’re really quick when it comes to making outgoing coaches disappear. Bunn’s photo & bio were gone from the 2023 roster probably before he even had his desk cleaned out. That’s nothing new. I noticed the same of Esposito, Rooney, & Thon in 2021. There (2021) you will find Bielamowicz, Bunn, & Kivett, who were hired for the 2022 season.

The fact that nobody in charge seems to have an issue with what is put out, tells you all you need to know. They need to go around the Big 12 and look at the various websites that are used to promote the baseball programs around the league and they should be embarrassed. It is night and day!
