This may sound hyperbolic, and it may very well be, but UH’s recruiting this year reminds me of SMU’s recruiting coming off of the death penalty. No interest among high level recruits, very few commits.
A special thank you to those athletes who have committed despite the negative window-dressing on the program. Those athletes can be the solution rather than the problem.
Maybe I missed some but those juco offers are to guys getting offers from bottom level G5. It’s UGLY

Have a feeling he knows he is gone at the end of the year. This explains his recruiting strategy. Why recruit for next year if he isn’t gonna be here. If given another year then go all out in transfer portal. If not here next year let the new coach hit the portal or recruit his own HS players.
He talked about recruiting 2025 bc that’s all he can say about recruiting. But is he really thinking that far? I doubt it.
The coaches still have to show a competitive product to get jobs elsewhere so they’ll keep coaching for jobs.
Have a feeling this coach is done. And if true, major props to admins for realizing the fck up and future mess he would create if given another year.

None of this is new. It’s just that most are now realizing what a few of us have been pointing at for 4 years now.

Kliff Klingsberry is the only answer to turn this recruiting around…he is young, the moms love him, and ice cream socials at practice are the bomb

Considering where we are right now and why we are here the last thing we need to do it rely on hope, that a coach already known to be allergic to recruiting be the one to replace our current coach that is known to be allergic to recruiting.
Need I remind you that he also had Patrick Mahomes and couldn’t finish higher than 4th in the BIG XII?

As I said before, if I was a parent of a top prospect, Dana never would be let into the house. Of course he’s not recruiting HS players anyway, just portal transfers.
