I walked up to Dana and said your killing it in recruiting and he smiled and fist bumped me and said it’s really this other coach getting it done that was there. He seemed happy that recruiting was going well. It was cool.
Lots of recruits including the Dossett kid and the freshman linebacker from Ridge Point
Great to see Kolb and Keenum today as well.
It was nostalgic. Those are the two QB’s of my time at UH.
Andre Ware was also in attendance.
Guessing we had a great group and brought back a few NFL players to show off.
Keenum and Ward for me… Great time to go to school at UH!
And watching CKS take the reigns…
And the baseball team was good!
It might just be me, but I dream of having Case on the sidelines for U of H when he retires one day. Both Keenum and Kolb were incredibly nice to my son when he was young, those guys took the time to talk to young fans, sign autographs, and make them feel special. As a father I am deeply grateful for that.
I imagine he’ll be around in some capacity after he retires…
Idk if it will be coaching due to the amount of time you have to put into it… But I think he’d be a good one.
It will be great if we could get Ed Oliver to show up at a few of these games and assist in recruiting.
Lucky!
Mine was Chuck Clements, Jason McKinley and Nick Eddy (with a small helping of Tyson Helton)!!
I’m thinking Case will be coaching in the NFL in some capacity
Seems to be a common route for career backup QBs…
True, but Case is built different than a lot of other guys. He loves to hunt and still has that “small town, simple dude” charisma about him. He might coach, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted something more laid back when he hangs his clipboard up.
I was surprised to see Kolb there. One, because he’s been low key since he retired. But also because I understood him to have severe headaches from the concussions. Thought I read he couldn’t be around loud noises. I hope that’s subsided, and that yesterday was a good experience for him.
It was great to see our QB’s at the game. Hope that more players will attend.
Alums should love it!
Felt like family.
Yes he does like those things, but his dad was a hs fb coach!
We have also had quite a few former basketball players returning. Had Patrick Okafor and Jahmar Thorpe at the the Temple game., just to name a couple.
True, but his dad didn’t have millions of dollars in the bank that afforded him an opportunity to do whatever he wanted.
