D'Eriq King injured

cement

Oh that’s good. Wtf? Is this Patrick Edwards into that moonshine wagon at Marshall all over again? I’d like to see this “cement board” you’re talking about. I don’t get it.

It’s hard to know. They showed a replay twice and either time it didn’t look like his right knee hit anything or twisted in the fall and he seemed OK until his final play.

The team is about to get a Tune up.

Welcome to next year’s QB controversy.

Maybe King will throw his jacket at Applewhite during the bowl game.

Man i hate to see this. Hoping SMU loses and Tune can close the season with wins!

Controversy? Ok, Tune played fine last night but King’s legs are a huge part of this offense. Let’s not be too dramatic.

Me too but the reality is that this will be something new for Tune
against Tulane he came in with a big lead. I thought he handled the situation very good but at the same time he made some bad decisions throwing the football. To win at this stage with Tune the Coogs are going to have to be able to run the football against Memphis.
But don’t get me wrong, Tune has the ability to be a very special quarterback. If SMU whips Memphis Saturday it is probably all over as far as winning the division.
Regardless, I was proud of the way our battered Cougars handled themselves against a hot Tulane team. Losing King was a complete bummer, and even though our out manned defense made mistakes, they played their collective hearts out and came up with some big turnovers.
And then there is Big Ed
but that is another story, one we would all like to forget
and btw, I thought Applewhite handled the situation about as well as he could

What is so weird about the Ed and the Major is that my wife told me that what I thought was wrong and that Major should have said nothing to Ed. But I think the two of them will work it out. Both are good guys(I mean that in terms of character) and will probably have a press conference over it. Face it guys it was cold and Ed just wanted a coat. I know last night I wanted a heavier coat than I was wearing.

The King injury is emblematic of this season. Something that looks harmless goes totally wrong.

If it’s his ACL it an injury that takes about a year to recover from after surgery. Does he have a redshirt year to use? He may not be ready by the start of next season.

No athletes are recovering in a lot of cases in about 6 months now with intense rehab it’s a long hard road

The irony is, if SMU loses and then Tune beats Memphis, Tune loses a year of eligibility playing in the championship game.

Isnt an acl tear according to sources

Yeah its gonna be a tough decision to make

I know the recovery is less than a year but there is also the mental aspect. The loss of confidence to run hard or cut. I have torn my ACL and did intense rehab. I was running in 6 months but it took a bit more than a year to cut while running without over thinking it.

Feel so bad for DK4, wishing a full healing

Dang, sucks that King is going to be out for the year
but it sounds like the injury isn’t as bad as it could have been. So, who starts in Memphis, Smith, Dormady, or Tune. My money is on Smith (unless he was injured).
