Listen here sparky, I donate to Cougar Pride because I know what it is used for will still be here after one season. With NIL, there is no contract that makes a player stay. At least with Cougar Pride, I’m helping the program and not a single individual who may decide to leave at the end of the season.

You will see that we will next year again have a top 25 Defense.
Our offense will improve if we get into the top half of Offneses will will get at least 8 wins.
Barbay was an anomaly due to being a late hire. We will compete for a conference championship.
I’m not just blowing smoke. As horrible as our O was, we were still in it until the Baylor loss.

lol I’m not telling you to donate to individual NIL deals, but our NIL fund is how we are going to get top transfers and recruits. That fund will keep us competitive, or keep us in the basement. Even $25 a month would help

If this happens, then it will explain a lot about why the DC might have left. He may be after a level of control that he didn’t have here. I’m not sure I buy it, though.

We lost our best aspect from this season in our d coordinator, got rid of our worst in oc but at least we still have Fritz. 
I better not hear a word about Wood next year if we don’t have a good year. The built in excuses are already there. All you guys don’t think it is that big of a deal. So his name should not be mentioned if Fritz has a crappy second year.

Yup. He wouldn’t be going anywhere if we paid him what Tech is paying him. Embarrassing that a school in our own conference can pay him more than us.

I am sure Wood got a big pay bump. If UH wasn’t willing to match it, then it might mean Fritz has someone else more worth the price or at a better value in mind.
That’s fair. Fritz better not screw this up if that is the case.

That is not the point Stephen. When you have an outstanding defensive season with one of the worst if not worst UH offense ever you do what ever you can to keep Wood. In the portal and NIL days we need to be as solid as possible.
You don’t agree? You have every right to be. No worries. What worries me is that our A.D. has not said a peep. That is not the mark of a leader Stephen.
If they are willing to over pay for a DC in the amount north of Million then it is not worth it. Also everyoen was clammering on how great Belk was after one great year the UH paid him a big contract for him turn out be terrible. Why would UH pay over a million for a coordinator that has shown he has no loyalty and has basically left evey program he has been at after a year. Fritz has won everywhere he has been. He will find a good coordinator if Woods does go. Also you cannot pin this all on Fritz if going this route. The AD is in charge of contracts and final say on hiring and extensions.

You are making an assumption. You have no idea and neither do I what ttech threw at him. The best answer to this is for our A.D. to come out publicly telling everyone Woods demands were unrealistic. That is his job. Do you really think it is easy to find a good coordinator?
Then answer a simple question please. How did Barbay do and where is he today?
Does Fertitta just not care about football anymore after they fired his coach? We lost our DC over money & our best graded corner just hit the portal.
I guess we’re just all in on basketball now because there’s some serious apathy around the program
I am not so sure that Fertitta even knew about Wood leaving. We all have to remember that Fertitta has a $B’s empire to manage. He can’t be everywhere. Our A.D.'s silence tells me more and that troubles me.
