Who knows what part CWF may have played in the decision making, with the AD it may have been a case we need the money to pay a top OC not the DC, CWF may have said no need to pay that kind of money for a DC, I’ve got this.

Every single recruit we had committed signed with Houston today. Nobody followed him to TT
the news broke 24hrs ago, I wasn’t worried about recruits. Tech already said weeks ago they were taking a small class and going heavy in portal. that’s what I’m nervous about
I’d like to keep Catlos Allen. I bet Holmes stays. Looks like most of the playmakers are gone anyway(graduated). So who are you so worried about losing?

I get that, and I’m not saying it isn’t valid, I guess I’m just not as worried about that because Wood is definitely not a “build relationships with players” type of coach. How could he be, he never stays in one place more than a year? He’s the tactical, Xs and Os guy.

Sad day at UH no Money to pay top coaches. Time to start looking at coaches in the high school level lot cheaper.
We just signed our best recruitung class, you have to be a Pearland to see this as a sad day

It makes sense that the administration needs to curb expenses but they need to realize the money lost at the gate on ticket sales etc isn’t coming back unless the team gets back to their winning ways. Fans certainly won’t come back just because of some gimmicky give away, halftime show, or playing most B12 teams not named Baylor.
I’m hopeful CWF can hire another solid DC to go along with a competent OC to add excitement to the games. Otherwise, we could be in for another 4-5 win season.
