I hear ya, 3rd Ward, but the guy’s a jumper…i bet he leaves Tech next year if he any kind of good year defensively. Its just what he does. Lateral move to our west Texas version of us is crazy, but who can explain ? He just does it.

Good news but I am not surprised. I do not expect any of the position coaches to follow him to Tech. Their ties are more with either UH or Fritz. Of course, more money could sway them. But not to follow Wood’s coattails.

Offensive talent and creative offensive coaching is a dime a dozen in Texas.
To have the worst offense in the P4 is an utter embarrassment to football played inside the state of Texas.

If we just improve on the O side we’ll be ok. We, of all people, should know all the mind blowing O stats are fun to watch but don’t win jack when it really matters. Defense wins Championships, always has and always will IMO

Welcome to reality. Our fans do not show up until the team is good, the weather just right and opponent is quality. As for SMU, nobody wanted SMU. They had to buy their way into ACC with no payout. It shows what can be done with unlimited funds (NIL). Tillman has hinted he is done floating athletics until the alumni step up and fill the stadium. Our facilities are getting a major upgrade and that will appeal to athletes. Maybe after the UFL season, we can get our fans in the stands.

It’s less of a headscratcher considering they fill their stadium and are known for having a great fanbase. It’s got to affect the thoughts of coaches when they coach a team that plays in a comparatively small stadium with sections of empty seats all over.

I don’t think they give a damn about Tech’s fan base. And their stadium isn’t bursting at the seams every game either. Let’s be real. Just like every other school, they show up for OU and Texas, and that’s if they are winning.
These coaches care about $$$. Just like the players and just like everyone else in this Culture.
The fans? The stadium? Cmon Techie don’t make it so obvious.
