I expect us to go 3-9 next year if Holgy is still HC

A big part of any DH success will be who is our next QB. To this point he hasn’t brought one in that can beat out Tune… will he find a big time QB that can increase our play against a MUCH tougher schedule? Unlikely…. I think we are in for a rough ride for a while yet…

Trust me we all want and need the Tillman $ train to stay on the tracks… I think he will eventually do what is needed if it stays this bad…

You are 100% correct. How do you not have portas in tailgate lots?

Who are we going to beat? Can’t even beat 2 of the perennial cellar dwellers in the B12, may be we win against UCF or Cincy if there on our schedule, that’s a big question mark if we do that.

A booster, regardless of how much he donates, should not be making the head coaching hires. Our last 2 (or 3?) HC hires have been from Fertitta.

Fertitta has been making decisions he feels will and would help the university. If anything he was listening to us.

We wanted continuity

We wanted someone who wanted to be here

We wanted someone who was from a P5

We wanted someone with experience

He listened to us. It was just the wrong person

I’ll always be grateful to him for everything he has given to the university that no one else lined up to do. He has given to my knowledge 100 million without asking for a return. And he’s still willing to give more.

Let’s not deviate our attention to blame the people that are trying to help us. Everyone is at fault. Including the people who vouched for him on this board and to the UH board. I don’t think people at the university don’t want what’s best. At this very moment we are in a situation we can’t get out. But like everything in life we will learn from our mistakes.

I hope Dana can learn also to right the ship for his first year back into the B12.

We are about to be P5, which is a goal accomplished.

I think in the end TF & RK will make it right. That’s just in their DNA. This situation is a bump in the road.

One of those, KU is 5-0 as of todays win over Iowa State.
The other TT, is 3-2 having lost to #10 NC State and #25 KSt who’s only loss was to Tulane. TT did beat UT.

It doesn’t matter what they did in the past, this is a different year.

I’m sure that Tillman is the kind of person that didn’t get to be the multi-billionaire that he is without taking some risks along the way.

And I’m sure he doesn’t like faltering businesses or endeavors of any kind.

If CDH was a risk (in terms of hiring), and if CDH ends up being in charge of a faltering endeavor (UH football), I’m sure that Tillman will be directly involved in righting the ship (and getting rid of CDH, if needed).

Whatever his mistakes, I do not question Tillman’s love and embrace of our fine university, and I am extremely grateful for his amazing legacy and contributions which have helped our alma mater immeasurably more than they have hurt.

Without Tillman we might be downgraded back to CUSA and be in the Rob with that stone prison of a basketball arena and football stadiums. In no life do you get someone’s money but little to non of their say so. If you don’t hear it about it in other programs it’s because it’s behind closed doors because they’re not a public figure or they have multiple massive money boosters that collectively make decisions. Let’s get another billionaire or two donating that kind of money to UH athletics and this post might be relevant. Till then in uncle T we trust.

This is the play that got me and my Buddy burst out laughing. This had the making of the film “Necessary Roughness”

Precisely my point we are going to be the riff raff of the conference, as long as we have CDH as our coach

Our “new” stadium with the aluminum rivets has always seemed like an inexpensive lawnchair to me.Not trying to be negative, it just doesn’t have any appeal as a destination. Maybe it’s me. IDK.

Without Tillman…we’re in the same conference as Rice and UAB…

Two words for our next AD that would revolutionize that role…

It’s good ole boy stuff, it reeks of corruption and nepotism. everyone is afraid to say it but it’s there. Dana’s hire was not based on merit. Applewhite was ran off to bring him in.

Last season, Pezman removed Boise State and another team from the schedule last season to soften it up for Dana. That was intentional. Terribly weak schedule to set up the 12 win season.

Pezman followed it up with a ridiculous 6 year extension. All calculated moves to keep Dana here.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the NCAA starts sniffing around this cluster. That would do it.
