How much eligibility will some of this year’s star players have left after 2025? Wiegman, Koziol, Connors, Sanchez, Allen, Thomas, etc…

Thanks. Yeah, guess I coulda’ looked it up for myself, but I guess I was hoping to identify our star players and see how many years they had left, because…. This year’s injuries, redshirts, and other factors means that they aren’t necessarily gone because it says”Sr.” next to their name.

If the NIL money is right, perhaps. Also, it’ll depend on where he is projected to be taken in the draft.

True, but if we have an amazing season, he may want to stay and be a Heisman Contender, improve his draft stock, and Mentor KH. That would be a best case scenario. Not saying most likely…

Class year this day and age is meaningless. It is annual free agency. You want to keep your high performers? Give them a NIL raise.

I thought they can’t do that anymore… they can only pay out of the allotted $22 million and then the players deals have to be approved by a clearing house to get additional NIL and it has to be a legit NIL not just a bulk payment as I understand…
So far, Weigman has not produced anything near numbers to be drafted and he may not even be invited as an undrafted free agent. His record at aTm and UH has been less than NFL caliber.

Kyle if you have this whole NIL and paying players thing figured out, you’re ahead of 90% of us.
Mainly regurgitating what I read on the threads here… but I don’t think they can do the lump sums for no reason anymore…
Tell that to Kyle Allen, who got benched mid season by a G5 and still made it on a NFL roster
Weigman being a 5 star is already going to benefit him just like it did with Allen
The NFL is always reliant on potential. Can a rookie be coached and developed?
How one plays in college may help with the draft, but Weigman is clearly on the path to having a great season.
He clearly intends to be a pro, and he will do what it takes to get there.

With UH defense its possible. Schedule is not too hard.

C’mon now, let’s get real here. 
The likes of UT, ATM, Alabama, etc., have been recruiting and paying players with cash (under the table and off the record) for the past 50+ years - so I seriously doubt that any kind of NIL limitation rules can or will ever be effectively enforced.
And in this new free player transfer era, player development and player retention are more difficult than ever before.
