They have targeted X which is the reason for the reduction in add revenue. Also there was a change in the valuation after he made his offer.
The company has lost 75% of its value. And who is âthey?â You throw them around a lot but never say who they are.
Is this some conspiracy where companies are getting together and losing money just to take down Elon?
Says alot about you.
What does it say about me? I donât pay the guy much attention. Iâm indifferent to a lot of guys I donât pay attention to.
And what do you think your affinity for narcissistic jerks says about you?
Couldnât you say the same about Bezos and other newspaper investors?
Are those the only two possibilities? Just because he is worth a lot (Tesla stock holding rather than liquidity) and heâs been successful in some things, doesnât mean he will be successful in all. Just like how Bezos isnât currently successful with his newspaper investment. No one always hits home runs. Even Michael Jordan lost games.
Who is âtheyâ? Why do you believe the reduction in add revenue is only because âthey have targeted Xâ and not because people donât want their ads associated with the type of content that is getting the most attention and even being boosted by Elon?
Iâm sure some public pressure does play into it, but more of it is going to be business decisions. Companies and investors donât want their brands associated with much of the content on Twitter/X, if Elon could figure a way to prevent it and provide ROI, Iâm sure the advertisers would return. Until then, you can whine about âtheyâ all you want.
If he ad loss was simply because âthey have targeted Xâ, you
Maybe they arenât advertising because he does stuff like publicly telling advertisers to go eff themselves.
You didnât ask me but I would say Iâm indifferent to him, much as I am about Elon. However, Elon is more interesting to discuss his various business moves than Zuck is. I find that both of them enable hate to grow on their platforms and I find that equally reprehensible for both. I donât own stock in any company with Zuck or Elon - at least not directly (not sure whats in the various mutual funds I have). I know when Facebook first went public, I was more of a donât buy type as I felt it was more hype than substance.I also have felt that way about Tesla in the past (when I did actual financial analysis of their 10k). I havenât looked at eitherâs financials in many years but still tend to believe that there is still some hype & speculation that pushes the stock price up beyond the financials. Thatâs just my opinion though and it could be said for a lot of stocks, especially tech stocks.
You mean Elon targeted âthemâ?
Assuming thatâs the âtheyâ he was talking about . Never know with conspiracies.
Elon fan boys are funny. âTheyâ donât even know why they defend him.
I think Elon smells like sardines. âMuskâ is actually his nickname from high school.
And I will never apologize for those two sentences, so donât bother asking.
Internet apologies have to be the silliest apologies of all, especially those that demand them.
Elon lives in your collective heads. Reading this thread makes me like the guy more. Next week weâll hear that Russians are using the trucks to take out Ukrainian food banks.
Relevant to yesterdayâs discussion.
So hard to understand why Xâs ad revenue has dried up.
/s
Itâs because âtheyâ are out to get Elon.
I donât know how easy it will be to pivot from this defeat or what it may mean to Teslaâs strategy in Europe but it is notable.

Tesla cyber trucks battery / Engine swapped with a new Chevy 5.3L,
The world is gradually healing.
Humiliated? Did the reporter have a bad day? There are plenty of planned plants being denied an expansion. It happens here and abroad. It is common Dustin. What is not common is the tone of this piece.
I didnât pay much attention to the tone, just the facts. I agree that humiliated is very likely an over exaggeration. also didnât take the time to look for a report that had less feelings written into it. My bad.
Not sure you need to apologize for the writerâs views. They are his own. Such a silly demand.
