This in regards to the Georgia murder committed by:

That same piece of excrement was arrested in NY while endangering a child and…released.
So far the AP still has not mentioned that this killer entered the country illegally in 2022.
Instead the AP is pointing out that single woman have a hard time jogging around.
Now you know…the rest of the story Dustin. Paul Harvey would be up the wall looking at what the press is like today.

Chris you forgot to turn to Page 2 like Paul Harvey.
He boosted a post that said there was a media blackout on the murder. There is no media blackout on the murder and it was widely reported.
Not true. They said it here today at around 5pm Central.
This article from the 24th, said immigration status is unknown. So the AP didn’t know at that point or hadn’t confirmed.
This also from the 24th quotes the UGA police chief as not knowing the immigration status either. So I can see why the AP didn’t know if law enforcement couldn’t confirm it at that point.
Clearly, all of the above shows there is no media blackout as mentioned in the tweet that Elon boosted. That is what the community note that Elon removed said, also.
You’d think someone would check to make sure what they’re saying is true before saying it do forcefully.

Fox was saying immigration status was unclear on 2/23. They started saying he was illegal on
2/24 afternoon.
It looks like the AP didn’t confirm he was illegal until today. The AP did have a really dumb headline which is the bigger issue here.
There’s clearly no blackout through.

Yea, I think I saw the murderer was illegal in a report a couple days ago but I don’t remember where. Wasn’t the AP obviously but there was absolutely no press black out.
He said the same thing about the KC shooters, not being reported. He must be reading that off an extremist conspiracy site.
You addressed nothing that was brought up. This is straight deflection and largely incorrect.
You might want to read the AP articles posted. They prove a lot of what you’re saying wrong.

No, I did not make it political. I pointed out that Elon was boosting a post that had bad information. You really do have blinders on, the posts in question said there was a media blackout which did not exist. That you have yet to address. My point was always about Elon’s statements and actions.
The posts from AP were to show you that, contray to your statement, the AP did report about the murderer’s immigration status and that he had been arrested and released. Yes it was published yesterday at around 5 central time. That’s it. I wasn’t defending the timing of their reporting, just that you were wrong in your statement.
You are the one who clearly made this policical with that last post.

Due to a sh.t storm of anger for not reporting the facts AP had to update their false reporting. That is the entire point of why Musk pointed it out. Got it now?
By the way AP has made it a habit on not reporting facts.
There was and is no media blackout. Period. That’s what Elon promoted. He’s wrong and being intentionally reckless.
He wasn’t as specific as you’re saying he was.

Chris, I posted that link, which clearly reported what you said it didn’t at around 7pm Central. That would be before the update you’re referring to. The piece was originally published at around 5 Central, which was also before you said the AP hadn’t reported on it.
Now, why do you ignote the fact that there was no media blackout? The Elon posts in dispute said there was a media blackout. The posts did not mrention the AP (which was mentioned in a different post).
Check out the first, very first AP reporting on the story. AP never mentioned that he broke the law, entered illegally and was even convicted of assaulting a child.
At the end of the day regardless what you, I or anybody else can argue. Numbers do not lie our border has been open for the last three years with horrific consequences.
This is about National security.
Chris, the first post said the immigraton status was unknown. They even quoted the police chief who said he difdm’t know the immigration status. So, you can’t expect them to report on something that isn’t known at the time.

The only time Elon specifically mentioned the AP was ridiculously calling them a a psy op.
He said there was a media blackout. There clearly wasn’t. That’s a completely reckless comment.
