Paging @kae71463
So much of the “crowd pumping” is unoriginal and sucks
While we’re at it, if you’re going to play Thunderstruck, play Thunderstruck. Don’t play Thunderstruck until Angus is midway through the first verse, then inexplicably restart the song.
My gf and I are about to break up over it. She claps, I refuse. It’s just way too much. “Everybody clap your hands” is out here ruining relationships! lol

It is terrible.
Bring in the DJ
Very pre-schoolish.
please no
It’s CLASSIC basketball.
But should only be used 2/3 times per game AT MOST.
I’ve been watching Coog basketball for 66 years and there’s nothing classic about that idiocy. Much like the “new traditions” (the very definition of an oxymoron, and why are we trying to emulate Aggies?) and that bozo Chinadoo bellowing at every break in play. Can’t even have a conversation with our friends due to the incessant noise.
College basketball is a beautiful sport and we are privileged to witness it at its highest level. Diluting it with all that extraneous crap is beyond me.
Y’all should get married ![]()
DJ Book at basketball games? Book it. 100% Book it.
The weirdest part about last night is that it felt like the crowd would delay cheers sometimes, especially when our guys would dunk or make a shot, like a quarter second cheer after the ball falls through the basket.
Coogs in the Cage would be the best group to provide input to. They’re the official board of the basketball student section, I think CV3 works with them quite a bit too.
We might need some better crowd-pumping though. There’s like two chants that the band does that just go wayyyyyyy too fast. Not that I don’t join in though, having been around the student section for so long haha.
We need a guide to the student section/crowd video to play. Something that goes over the basic stuff. Be loud on defense, quiet on offense, similar to what CV3 did a few years back but much better ![]()
I can tolerate comedian Chinedu. He is much better than the previous game host.
It was very simple, but I thought very effective during the 70’s and 80’s
the HOUSTON clap clap HOUSTON clap clap chant that we borrowed from the movie Rollerball.
Hmmm, I always associated the clap with Texas Tech…

Seriously. Someone needs to tell the band director to lay off the crack. Everything is too fast.
As long as we don’t copy Kyle Field and pump in fake crowd noise, I’m good.
I’ve tried to start that a few times but I assume the 20 years of being in the woods killed it. Usually people just start yelling “”Cougars” back. @Hill has the loudest clap I’ve ever heard. I text him every game to start giving people what they want; Coog ![]()
