That’s just a guess . I have no idea
Coog fans don’t come out because who cares about second rate competition.ie, RIce, Texas Southern, Grambling, etc.Whoever does the scheduling should be run out on a rail. If the scheduling were done properly and decent teams were scheduled that people actually want to see. Then the crowds would return. Case and point Oklahoma 2016. 72000 +. Oklahoma State sold out, TCU sold out, UT sold out, Texas Tech sold out…in the games in Houston there were more Houston fans than the opponents
I just got off the phone with the ticket office because I was ordering away game tickets. The season tickets will be sent out next week, and the TT tickets will be sent out the following week. All of those will be electronic, I guess except for the poster above.
One bit of good news; as a result of the COVID rebound, the retreat I was supposed to work in October has been cancelled and I can go to the Tulane game . The bride and I will be heading over Thursday morning. I am going solo to Tulsa and Rice. I’m not going to USF, Temple, or UConn.
BTW, In order to play those good game opponents, they have to agree to them. When we were in the pits, we had no problem getting games; but once we got good again, no one wanted to play us. The OU coach said after the 2016 game that had he known we would be that good, he wouldn’t have scheduled us. Since then, some good teams have backed out of scheduled games and others have declined to play us.
Awesome Mike…New Orleans just issued requirements to have proof of vax to enter sporting events, casinos, etc…
I assume this means Tulane Stadium.
My wife and I will be packing our proof, all Cougars should be aware of this, so as to not be supremely disappointed at the gates…
There is a defense lawyer here in Washington County that did both undergrad and law school at Tech and is a proud grad of that school, but he confessed to me that he stopped following college football after Tech fired Leach.
That decision obviously did NOT go over well with their fan base. Some have apparently never forgiven the school for it.
Tulane just issued the warning about not being able to enter Tulane stadium without proof of vax.
Two of those swac teams have outdrawn us in our own stadium for their games and another set a stadium record in old Robertson or at other venues in town before so think before you type
Neither outdrew us at home.
At least at kickoff. Later…?!?

Linda gets her 2nd shot next Friday. We will have our cards with us. I have had mi for months.
I’ve had covid so i have better immunity than anyone with the jab, but i still can’t go to the game? Dumb, how about i bring my proof of positive test
I know. Let’s just use the honor system. No one would lie just to see a game, right?
I’m saying in general - I’ve seen nearly 30K for a TSU game in the old Robertson and 50K were in the Astrodome in the 70s. Folks will come to the games they want to come to.
