Expected turnout for the Sept 4 Texas Kickoff: TTU vs. UH

Could be. Kid looks good. Big, strong arm, can move a little. He’ll look even better with a face mask full of turf.

My wife and I are planning on coming down from Austin. Bringing my mother in law and brother in law as well. Go Coogs!

Tell them to ask a few more then you can rent a party bus.
…and it gives you a great opportunity to get close to your mother in law.

Driving down from Waco, then again for grambling , then again for Navy. Getting new casings this week because I’m going to be running the roads in September

Cary, you live in California, you support millionaires everyday.

I don’t live in that part of California.

Hopefully I will see you at the game, bringing my family from Plano, section 336.

Go Coogs!

Not much has changed…though if you look closely you can see how they manipulate available seats. Some that weren’t available last month are now available and almost a couple whole sections are no longer available (odds are they’re just hiding them now).

Also, more resale available on TTech side.

Wow houston side looks like it’s going to be packed

Anyone know where the student section will be it was behind the goalpost last time at NRG

It sure looks like the TT side will have plenty of empty seats. They will be the home side so the cameras will be to their backs which will show the pretty full Coog side. I like it.

So much for TT controlling the Houston market they can’t show up for a game in Houston.

They never have supported their games in Houston. When we were in the SWC they didn’t show up. The large crowds we had against them were when we were doing well and our fans showed up. In 1977 we drew 44K, in 1989 we had 30K, in 2009 we had 32K (the game Case won on QB draw in last minute) and in 2017 we had 36K to open the season. The rest of the games had 2 games draw 25K, one game draw 20K, and 4 games less than 20K, with the low being 14K.

The thing is, if we took them into the AAC, good Coog teams would draw well with Coog fans and not need to depend on visitors for attendance boost.

I have Tech Grads in my family.

They are sorely disappointed in Tech’s results for many years.

They are still dismayed with the firing of Mike Leach. Their program declined since then, never to recover. They still think his firing was hopelessly stupid.

The game is on TV. They will watch it. Maybe.

Do not expect large Tech attendance.

Still one of the most insane set of events in CFB. Egotistical son of an egotistical ESPN analyst gets great coach fired with giant, easily debunked lie.

Firing Leach was the single dumbest action in Texas Tech Football history.

He improved Washington St. while there(and beat UH in 2019) and now is at Miss. St. His Bulldogs beat LSU last year in his first season.

Ask any Tech Alum. They can talk about it almost endlessly.

My son-in-law is a Tech grad. Just mention Tommy Tuberville and he’ll rant for good half-hour. He was the Anti-Leach and was the worst possible thing that could have followed Leach.

Don’t forget that the egotistical ESPN analyst proudly participated in the slush fund that got SMU the death penalty. And was called “The Great White Hope.” And killed 5 hookers at SMU. #rememberthe5
