Expected turnout for the Sept 4 Texas Kickoff: TTU vs. UH

I understand but if we want to join the big boys then we still need to show up like they do even during their down periods.

Its a big game. Tech and Houston usually makes for an exciting contest. I actually expect 50k…with announced close to 60.

Not to get overly paranoid but a loss in this game will be almost as costly (stature more than money) as the loss to S. Miss in 2011, at least in my not so humble opinion.

Beating Fla. St and OU were huge wins but losing those wouldn’t have hurt as much as losing this one.

We absolutely have to win this game! The reasons are numerous. We need a really good turnout for exactly the same numerous reasons. We can’t afford any excuses.

What about this?
The stadium is sold out, the Nielsen ratings are high. This in itself is a victory, a big victory. Have faith.

610 AM radio and the Texans are advertising the game.

I have 4 season tickets for my family. We’re excited.

My daughter is a junior in the Honors college - engineering student living on campus. So, if she doesn’t have a ride to NRG with one of her friends, we’ll swing by and get her on the way to the game.

BTW…We were there when we blasted OU in 2016. My eldest son was a freshman, also in the engineering Honors college. Now working for a NASA contractor.

Eat 'em up & Go Coogs!!!

If you don’t go to this game you don’t care about the Cougars.

If you aren’t painting your whole body and charging the field running over five star then you aren’t a real cougar.

Chris, over the years I’ve tried all kinds of things to get my various UH alumni friends to go to the games, usually to no avail. If they aren’t interested, no amount of tests or emails will influence them to attend. At best the rely is usually, ā€œI watch them on TV.ā€
