Its a private school. I would not go to byu because I’m not mormon. But they are entitled too their beliefs. Leftists elites want to push their lack of values on everyone

A Catholic friend of mine finished his Ph.D. at BYU and loves the place. He’d gladly have his daughters attend there if they wish.
BYU has a right to enforce their codes of conduct. All schools have them, some with different elements than others. All good.

Yeah, LGBTQ thing is going to be real hard to get me real annoyed about. It’s a private institution and a conservative, religious one at that. These aren’t secret non-disclosed positions from the university. Everyone knows what they are signing up for. So I encourage the students to campaign for a more moderated position from the school, and fully respect the schools right to shoot them whatever the Mormon equivalent of double rods are.
I don’t much care what byu does in this space. I also don’t care if they get made fun of for it.
Bigotry is still bigotry even when it hides behind religion. I only see a lack in values in those that don’t call out bigotry. Seems like liberals are more in line with Jesus’s values

“Lefties” push for the right be allowed to live the life they want to live. Righties like our resident tree stump think it’s their God given right to force their values on everyone else and see any attempt to resist them as an attack when actually they are the attackers.
