Final Home Game Attendance Numbers

Just make the admissions applications in a lockdown browser so websearch is disabled.

Then we add football, basketball, and sports questions to weed out the future non-supporters.

I have a stadium garage pass and rarely use it for football. Palm Center is just so much easier to use. It’s like a free shuttle service that drops you off right in front of the stadium.

Nothing wrong with our stadium, it is the AI generated fans that make it look great.

UT is getting over 100K fans to their games, so not a good comparison.

That’s my point, though. Their attendance floor is like 90k and their campus still isn’t full of students wearing the school color during the week, because that’s just not a thing that students do anywhere.

Too steep for her chauffeur.

That stadium doesn’t fit our campus. We don’t have red brick anywhere. TDECU is a good fit for our campus. Modern at the time it was built and with a bit of value engineering. Nothing wrong with the stadium design.

Nothing wrong? There’s no A/C :grinning:

OK so you got an internet picture! We all know on campus support of UH athletics is slim to none. You tried to debate it but we know the truth. I was on campus for 3 years and the same small group attended all home games. Until the University gets the students to attend and support nothing will change. If they support as students the odds are they will continue to support as alumni. One even might be the next T. Fertitta and be the next game changer.

And by the way, there is a UT shirt in your picture. LOL. At least there is 1. Hell the students in our magazine probably have no idea we have an athletic department!

Let’s not kid ourselves- we went as cheap as we could on the stadium.

Those metal panels will have to be replaced sooner-than-later. Those materials just do not hold up as well as more stately materials like brick, stone, or even cast-stone.

Too late for this but i really wish we honored our orginal design style of our orginal campus-Art Deco, and made all of our buildings that style.

We would have one of the most charming campuses in the country

But to debunk Norbert’s claim we don’t have res brick “anywhere”
we have a bunch of prominent brick buildings
including our College of Architecture

Its a chicken and egg debate.

Most think we should remain a glorified community college serving low ROI students, commuter students, transfer students, and 1st generation students. We know what we continue to get with those type of students
very few leave connected to UH because they never WANTED to be in the first place.

A smaller %, like me, say HEY
we are a Major P4 University NOW
stop acting like a Regional community college, for students who graduate at a low %, and attract HIGH ROI students
that view you as a Destination University.

The state of Texas has PLENTY of regional NON P4 Universities to fill our void.

UTSA
UNT
Texas State
Sam Houston
Etc.

The P4 was a turning point for me
we ACCEPTED the challenge of big boy athletics
now, we need to accept the right type of academic students to back up not only that upgrade but that privilege.

We are NOW in thr class of Destination Universities

It’s not that dark red brick as depicted in the rendering. As I said, value engineered. Bro stop gaslighting, I know you love to do that, but it’s right there in the pictures. Indisputable. Look around campus, all the buildings are a snapshot of the time it was built. So was the stadium.

Stop shooting down EVERY SINGLE idea anyone throws out about making UH BETTER.

Campus Asthetics matter

Do you really hate UH that much?

I’m guessing you have a stuffed Shasta animal that you love to kick around.

Shhh, don’t tell this hater UH’s acceptance rate is on par with TT, and a lot of SEC schools that he envies.

WTF are you talking about? Pointing out that buildings on campus are designed in the style at the time they were built is hating UH? So I guess you think UH campus is ugly? Who’s the hater?

This dote, hates UH students, alumni, and now the campus.

TT attracts students statewide
and across the country.

Houston suburban families that would NEVER send their kids to UH have no problem sending them to TT and bragging about it

There have been characters based on TT alums in popular shows like Modern Family and Landman.

They ARE a Destination University.

Are you in denial??

Norbert for the L
once again

Only a hater like UH1927/Cullen doesn’t think UH is a destination school. Here’s a truth for you, those UH students you keep hating on picked UH to go to, that’s a destination school for them.

I’m not in denial, I love UH, you seem to hate every aspect of it. Why did you even go to UH?

Yes
this whole thread is about why so little of our alums care about their alma mater to even support them

Take the rest of the week off, buddy, enjoy Thanksgiving
you need the break

UH , as of today, is NOT a Destination University

A kid in i.e Pittsburgh, with no Texas ties, does not have the University of Houston on his top 3 list in high school.

Most kids in Dallas or San Antonio do not either

Texas & Texas A&M definitely all over Texas and into other states

We are in a different class, as of TODAY
we are STILL a Regional University
