Great effort from the players but that handoff near the goal line with 2 minutes left is possibly the dumbest playcall Iāve ever seen. W T A F!
It was dumber than the OU player who got a penalty for taking his helmet off a couple minutes later.

Not in the game I watched. Way too many convertible 2nd and 3rd down plays where we ran between the tackles for, at best, 2 yards. More often that not, no gain or a loss. This games wreaks of an OC who so desperately wants to establish a run game that he doesnāt care about actual game situation.

We need to do whatās working. Iām all for balance when the situation calls for it. Tonight wasnāt that night. We needed to chunk the ball, not try to establish a run game that clearly wasnāt working.

Fritz wants to run pro style offense. Barbay doesnāt know how too. Barbay did exactly what he said he was going to do leading up to this game. Short passes and run the ball more. He is a clueless idiot who didnāt know when to do what.
He is a high school OC at best. Maybe going back to coach Nederland is his ceiling.

Are we tailoring the offense to the QB? I sure hope not. Find a style that works for the Oline and other playmakers. Then let the QBs fight for a spot

Great idea but our OC is not very smart or good at his job. Also our HC is a nice guy.
I would love to see him get mad and rip into someone actually. Iām sure heās more than capable. I wonder if thereās any footage somewhereā¦.

Those saying we should have thrown it downfield more donāt understand we kept it close by āplaying rely on defenseā football. We were in a ākeep it close, milk the clockā mode. The offense was rope a dope by design. And it worked. We had the ball in Norman with 2 minutes left needing a fg to win. Thatās all you can ask for.
Look what cdh did at Norman with Dāeriq King year 1. Not competitive, lifeless, contributed to his transfer.
The stats, especially at QB, were much better this week. Next week build on that stat improvement and turn it into points improvement. I think the O is on the right track.

I mean even we decided to make a QB change from OāKorn to Ward when it wasnāt working out offensively.
I donāt disagree that the overall game plan was a smart one, but there were plenty of opportunities where a bit more aggression couldāve really been used.

Who was coach Willieās OC at Tulane last year?
Did he stay at Tulane?
Slade Nagle was Tulane OC. He was coming to UH until he wasnāt. Ended up at LSU coaching ST/TEs. I think he stayed to coach bowl hoping to get shot at HC I guess.
