You’d have a point if we consistently lost these games. In reality, we win games against top flight competition way more often than we lose them and way more often than literally 98% of other schools hence why we have been an elite team/program and haven’t left the Top 10 in like 5 seasons. Soooo I guess… sorry if you’re unhappy with that?

What did those top 10 rankings get us ?
Last time I checked we got bounced in the S16 the past few years as a 1 seed.
t. That unfortunately is sports. Feel like you need to meet some of us before a game for beers and laughs and recalibrate your expectations.
364 basketball programs. I’m happy with Sweet 16s especially after 30 years without a first round win.

UCONN won a title as a 4 seed.

Each of the last 7 seasons have been uniquely amazing and memorable. So many great players have come through our program. The perception of our program and school has totally flipped in that time. Some people will never be pleased

Ummm… multiple conference championships, National Award winners, All-Americans, multiple players drafted and playing in the NBA, the best run of Cougar Basketball in program history, the best recruiting class in program history, literally getting us back into a power conference.
I guess all of that means nothing because we haven’t put a national championship trophy in the case. Seems a bit short-sighted.

That CKS’s teams follow a similar pattern wherever he has been. He is great at taking a down program and getting it to a certain level, but no further.
Look compared to where we were when he got here that is great. However if we want to be a top level B ball program then we need to get to a title game and hopefully win one.

Some UH fans & media, with the past two Sweet 16 exits, are starting to doubt Houston. Can we get over the hump.

Only one team of 364 is going to win a National Championship a year. Coaching, talent, and luck all have a big part of it. I’d love for us to have a Natty, but to put down all our successes because can’t get the big one is ridiculous.
