This isn’t college football where only 12 teams make the playoffs, we have a realistic chance of a national championship.

Is there really a divide w/ Coog fans between more football centric fans and more basketball centric fans?
My heart is more with basketball personally, but I can’t say there was ever a situation where it was anything more than a fun “gun to your head” hypothetical game to play with other Cyclone fans.
Football makes and ruins my days just the same as basketball does, even though it shouldn’t lol.
It seems like the claim here is that football fans are more delusional and hard to please, and basketball fans are the more reasonable realistic and appreciative group? These posts seem to lend some evidence to this

It’s not so much a divide as it is that the football forum is just generally more stupid more often, borne mostly out of years of unhappiness. This forum actually tends to have more reasonable discussions most of the time, but when we lose a game, lots of people who sit out those reasonable discussions suddenly become basketball and coaching experts. It’s annoying AF.
