Phoenix, Arizona is officially in the Mountain Time Zone . Note: The Navajo Nation in northeastern Arizona does observe Daylight Saving Time. Phoenix, Arizona does not utilize Daylight Saving Time. The Current Time in. Phoenix, Arizona is: Friday. 7/8/2022. 8:22 AM. MST.

If this isn’t twitter BS, Yormark should be flying to Seattle right now.

Time in

5:44 PM

Thursday, July 21, 2022 (MST)

Time in Phoenix, AZ

Your Right on the zone, but the time there 5:44pm

Which is 2 hrs behind us, which is actually Pacific Time

which is kind of weird,

Arizona will be two hours behind until November 4, then only 1 hour behind. So until then, a late window exists in Arizona. Arizona doesn’t use DST.

Would Cincy move to the ACC if they fell apart? I don’t think so

Yeah Oregon wants to pull a UT and say stay so they can buy time for Big10 and don’t want to sign a GOR with the big12. If they don’t see what’s going on then.,

If Oregon and UW do get called up to the Big Ten, good for them. If things work out for the PAC, good for them. We are fine. Any great additions are gravy.

Florida State and Clemson would look great on that map!

New Mexico is a great state-our western neighbor. Unfortunate for them they don’t have a large, major university in their state.

UNM is R1, and they’re pushing for AAU status. They have 25k students, which is roughly the same as Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. What they don’t have is a first-class football program.

Thats the thing with athletics, particularly football. People assume that since the football team isn’t in a major conference, that the university isn’t good either.

This is why Khator said athlrtics are the front porch to the university and why The Flutie Effect is so heavily studied.

New Mexico is a wonderful state. Beautiful mountainous terrain, snow skiing and basically a vacation wonderland. Native American culture. Many positives.

They need either the Lobos or Ags to become highly competitive in football. I believe they have fans who would support a team in the B12.

This has come up sort of in the ACC GOR discussion. People assuming that the lawyers of the big programs will be able to beat up the lawyers of the lesser one. Find loopholes. Toss a little money their desperate way.

College sports (or football) is the only context in which Clemson is the big guy and Boston College is the little guy. Boston College has its own money and lawyers. They have a $4b endowment and a top 30 law school while Clemson has a $1b endowment and no law school.

Anyway… UNM… just sad that they can’t get their act together. No reason they should be so bad. Two million people in the state, half of which in UNM’s metro. No pro sports competition. Only moderate competition from another state university.

Lobos used to have amazing basketball but never football….we all know about “The Pit” and they love their basketball……

If New Mexico was in the Big 12 they would have been at least as successful as say Colorado.
